North Carolina Highway System
The North Carolina Highway System is when the highway numbers are less than 1000 they are primary and when it is greater than or equal to 1000 they are secondary. Example is NC 24 is primary while NC 2397 is secondary. Secondary highways are usually short while primary highways are long.
