Michael David Apted, CMG (10 February 1941 – 7 January 2021) was a British director, producer, writer and actor. He directed James Bond movie The World is Not Enough. He was known for directing Amazing Grace and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Apted died at his home in Los Angeles on 7 January 2021, at the age of 79.[1][2][3]
