Personal License Renewal

Please review the Fee Schedule to ensure you submit the correct renewal fee to renew your license. Incorrect fees may impact the renewal of your license.

Approximately six weeks before the expiration date of your license, a renewal postcard will be mailed to your last known address of record. Licensees are responsible for renewing their licenses even if they do not receive a renewal postcard. The board does not send duplicate renewal postcards.

You may renew your license online no more than 60 days before the expiration date of the license.

It takes three to six weeks to receive the renewed license in the mail.

You may verify that your license has been renewed by clicking on the Verify a License. For purpose of license verification, California law allows the printout of a license record from the board's website.

To report a change of address, email, or name, please go to Change of Address/Email/or Name.

If you have questions regarding reporting criminal convictions or disciplinary actions on your renewal application, please review the FAQs for License Renewal Applications: Reporting Criminal Convictions/Disciplinary Action.
