A nickel base alloy, especially suitable for blades or vanes in gas turbine engines, comprises:- the balance, apart from impurities and residual deoxidizers, being Ni, and is so proportioned that the "F" factor Cr + Co/3 = 17À5-20% and Al + Ti +Nb + Ta is in the range 12À25 - 0À15F to 13À275- 0À15F.
