K-12 Education Statistics
Girls/young women’s STEM achievement and participation are on par with boys/young men for most subjects, but racial, ethnic, and family income gaps exist.
Higher Education Statistics
At the undergraduate level, science and engineering course-taking rates for girls/women shift and gender disparities begin to emerge, especially for minority women.
Workforce Statistics
Women remain underrepresented in the STEM workforce, although to a lesser degree, with the greatest disparities in computer science, engineering, and the physical sciences.
