Chinese actress Zhao Lu Si's agency responds to fans' concerns over her health.

On December 27, photos purportedly showing Chinese actress Zhao Lu Si in a wheelchair quickly went viral on Chinese media portals and even made it to the trending topics list, garnering widespread attention in the country.

In the pictures, Zhao Lu Si, dressed in casual home attire, appeared haggard, with someone pushing her wheelchair. Overall, her condition seemed extremely weak.

At 4:17 p.m. (CST) on the same day, Zhao Lu Si's agency posted a statement on its official Weibo account, explaining that Zhao Lu Si had suddenly fallen ill during filming and had immediately gone to the hospital for examination and treatment. The statement is as follows:

In response to recent public concern regarding Zhao Lu Si, we would like to provide the following clarification:

After confirming her role as Ruan Yu in the project Almost Lover, Zhao Lu Si,  actively engaged in the preparatory work and fulfilled her contractual obligations. She participated in the script reading, costume fitting, and shooting activities according to the scheduled timeline. During the filming period, Zhao Lu Si dedicated a significant amount of time and effort.

On December 18, Zhao Lu Si suddenly felt unwell and immediately sought medical attention. She is currently following the doctor's advice for treatment and rest.

Zhao Lu Si has always stayed true to her original intent of being an actress, cherishing every opportunity to perform and approaching each project with dedication. Moving forward, we will prioritize her health and suspend all upcoming work. We also kindly ask everyone who cares about Zhao Lu Si to give her the space she needs for both physical and mental rest. Zhao Lu Si, also known as Rosy Zhao, is a world-famous Chinese actress. She is widely recognized for her roles in popular Chinese dramas, including Love Like the Galaxy, Oh! My Emperor, and The Long Ballad. She recently starred in The Story of Pearl Girl, and her upcoming drama Love's Ambition, in which she stars alongside William Chan, is reported to be released sometime in 2025.
