w:ilo:OavcacanantacontribslogCentralAuthusurp

Hi! I am an administrator for the Ilokano Wikipedia and initially helped create it under the username "Oavcacananta", which I assume is what is being referred to as the global account. I was informed that the admin rights in the Ilokano site are still under this name. However, I would like to delete it and/or change it to "Tarong" (w:ilo:Agar-aramat:Tarong) which is what I have been using in the Ilokano site for quite a while now as my sign-in username. I didn't realize that Oavcacananta and Tarong are essentially parallel local accounts and that changing one name to another didn't delete the original name and conferred the admin rights to the new name. I'm looking to harmonize these accounts. So in summary:

  • Global user name from Oavcacananta to Tarong
  • Local admin rights in the Ilokano site from Oavcacananta to Tarong

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Oavcacananta (talk) 23:00, 31 December 2012 (UTC)

I moved the sysop permission to your new account, but in order to create Tarong global account you should go to w:ilo:Special:MergeAccount. Ruslik (talk) 19:50, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

GMM

Status:    Done

I am an admin on Russian Wikivoyage and would appreciate assistance in converting it into a SUL account.

This service reports there is no global account with such name. However, when I use ru.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Special:MergeAccount it asks for a password for a pt-wikipedia account which I don't own. I tried to create a new account on Meta to use as a home wiki but I get a message that GMM is too similar to an existing account 'GmM'.

I have no intention to claim accounts on Wikipedias (in any language) but a SUL would be handy to use on Meta and Commons. We have an active bureacraut on ru-wikivoyage but I don't think he can help. Please advise. -- GMM (talk)

You should ignore the password request and proceed with global account creation. Ruslik (talk) 13:56, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't quite get it. I have no option to skip the password request, here's the screenshot. When I enter my Wikivoyage password it says the home wiki has a different password. How do I force-set my home wiki to ru-wikivoyage? Thank you. -- GMM (talk)
Hello. Your home wiki is already ru.voy, by all definitions (because you have more than 0 edits which is what the other local accounts with the same name have). This is a software error, which I've reported at bugzilla:42106. Thanks for your patience in providing more information. We'll now test a couple of workarounds which involve creation by a privileged user and escalation of flags.
Normally, I'd have told you to create local accounts without worrying, but I think that has been forbidden recently too. --Nemo 18:56, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
Update: I've created a global account for you, I'll send you the password and instructions by email. --Nemo 18:58, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
Thank you! The issue has been partially resolved, I'm fine with that for now. GMM (talk) 05:17, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

The user now has a working global account and can use it on other wikis, but the ru.voy account is not attached yet, nor centralauth wishes to recognize it. It would be trivial for a steward to rename the local user to whatever temporary username and then back to GMM; this could be enough. --Nemo 09:50, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Marking in progress: please try the rename, CentralAuth still doesn't see the local unattached account. --Nemo 17:01, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
Local bureaucrats available :( --Bencmq (talk) 09:39, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
Being this a SUL issue, to which local bureaucrats might not be familiar with (new project, different system, etc...); wouldn't help if we go over Wikivoyage resolving the SUL problems as we did when SUL was introduced? Thanks. -- MarcoAurelio (talk) 22:27, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
On that basis, I've gone ahead and done a swap. Let me know if that works. MBisanz talk 17:04, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
I've marked this as done as we haven't heard back from him in a month. MBisanz talk 17:43, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

Dcljr

Status:    Not done

Something seems to have gotten screwed up with my login info at the English Wikivoyage. I'm in the list of users (so I can't create a new account with the same name), and can log into all the other language versions of Wikivoyage (de, it, sv, ru, nl, fr, es, pt), just not English. When I try to log in, it tells me "Incorrect password entered." And when I try to reset my password (Special:Password_reset) it tells me "There is no e-mail address recorded for user 'Dcljr'." Can I get this wiki attached to my SUL account? Thanks. - dcljr (talk) 15:38, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

You should ask local bureaucrats at en.wikivoyage to usurp the corrupt account. Ruslik (talk) 19:24, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Netol

Status:    Not done

I would like to usurp the netol username in Russian Wikipedia. Seems that there aren't any active Russian administrators...

--Netol (talk) 14:17, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

There are active bureaucrats, you should ask them locally. --Luckas msg 16:23, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

Apn

Status:    Not done

I'd like to finish my global user merging. How can I proceed ?

Here are the last remaining accounts (not belonging to myself) currently not attached to my global user account Apn:

--Apn (talk) 13:28, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

I assume you meant bgwikiquote instead of wikipedia. q:bg:ApncontribslogCentralAuthusurp
All projects you've listed has active bureaucrat. Please consult this page to see where you can request usurpation of those accounts. If the wiki is not in that list, you should contact local bureaucrats directly. Note that for bgwikiquote, User:Spiritia is a crat there. Although he hasn't edited bgwikiquote for half a year, you should be able to reach him by email or on bgwikipedia. --Bencmq (talk) 13:55, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

Stefan Stojkovski

Status:    Done

I'd like to usurp the account with the name Stefan Stojkovski on the following site:

He hasn't got any edits and there are no bureaucrats on the mk.wikipedia. --Stefan Stojkovski (talk) 02:40, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

It looks like there are two bureaucrats who are active according to stewardy. Have you tried to contact them? Techman224Talk 02:47, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

OK, thanks, i found the bureaucrats. Should i delete this section now? --Stefan Stojkovski (talk) 14:42, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

HighVoltage

Status:    Not done

I want to usurp the following account.

The account is deemed to be inactive. Just for case, I'm listing other preoccupied accounts I'm merging now (these are already requested to the bureaucrats of corresponding wikis).

HighVoltage (talk) 08:13, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Not done, liwikipedia has one active bureaucrat, ask him locally. --Luckas msg 10:23, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Well i requested the usurpation from the local bureaucrats, but it seems that they haven't been active quite a time, so i would like to ask if there's anyone that would do this favor instead of them and usurp:

I previously requested the usurpation, but i didn't know how to find the bureaucrats but now, i see they are inactive, so if it doesn't bother you a lot.......... And also, should i delete this section after my problem is resolved? --Stefan Stojkovski (talk) 22:52, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Not done, mkwikipedia has at least two active bureaucrats, please make a request locally. --Luckas msg 01:53, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
