Q4632675
editHello, what is this Q4632675 meant to be? There is not any links, but if you are going to add links, please add, or tell if I can delete it, greetings --Stryn (talk) 05:56, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
- Hello Stryn, the link would be de:Ortschaft. But though not yet an disambiguation page (there is a discussion going on if it is to be made one at de:Wikipedia:WikiProjekt Begriffsklärungsseiten/Fließband/Knacknüsse#Ortschaft), the article describes several different aspects of the term Ortschaft. Q4632675 is one of them,Ortschaftin the sense ofGemeindeordnung für das Land Nordrhein-Westfalen, which can be seen as a special case of the legal termOrtschaftin Germany. I felt the need for this item as it should be used in Property:P31. While I had the chance to set a link to de:Ortschaft, I felt bad about blocking the link for so many other meanings of the term. I am not sure if it is possible within the scope of this project, but I would suggest to wait untill the discussion has settled and set the link afterwards. --Alex (talk) 12:35, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
- How about Q702492, is it the same thing than Ortschaft? --Stryn (talk) 18:17, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
- Not quite. As far as I understood Q702492 is a term in settlement geography referring to urbanized areas, whereas Q4632675 is an administrative division found mostly in rural areas. In terms of settlement geography most Ortschaftencan be viewed as villages, beside oneOrtschaftcan consist of more than one village. Still, there is quite some confusion about these terms in (German) Wikipedia as one thing (that place where some houses stand relative close to one another and have something like a common history) can be viewed in different dimensions. I came across this problem, when I tried to make a Property:P31-statement for Q1883305, which is obviously a Q532, but also a subdivision of Q5642 with its own Q876722, and these two things, yet perfectly defined in theory, are so closely related that (as of now) one of it cannot be thought of without the other and should be contained in one item. Historicly those places most likely had also the dimension of de:Kirchengemeinde (parish?) in its meaning, but that might have gone. And most of them used to be a Q262166 of its own until the 20th century. (By the way: Q262166 links to en:Municipalities of Germany, but that article has got wrong numbers for North Rhine-Westphalia. There are 396Gemeinden, 271 of themStädteand 22 (or 23; depending on how one judges the special status of Aachen) of thosekreisfreie Städte.) --Alex (talk) 19:10, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
