Liquipedia:Notability Guidelines
From Liquipedia Dota 2 Wiki
Sadly, not everything can or should be added to the wiki. We want all our pages to be as up-to-date as possible and to meet our quality standards in general. Additionally, we strive to have all pages meet a certain level of notability to current fans of the game or those wanting to research its history. As such, some pages will be rejected due to a lack of quality or relevance.
This wiki contains coverage of certain teams, players and scenes that do not actually meet our guidelines, yet we allow them because there is an active volunteer(s) that keeps those pages updated. Although that is made harder the more pages are created, such as the fact that lower ranked teams tend to not have social media where they announce changes, and so on. It also does not mean that we will allow you to create a page for your team just because you say you will keep it up to date. This means we have to prioritise: we try to keep our coverage of competitive Dota 2 as defined by the guidelines below.
Any pages that do not meet these guidelines will not be deleted, but will be moved to your userspace. Any pages existing prior to updated guidelines will not be applied retroactively.
If you have any questions regarding these guidelines, please join our Discord and leave a message in the #dota2 channel.
Please note that inclusion of pages in mainspace is ultimately up to the discretion of Liquipedia administrators. Therefore any page meeting the below-listed guidelines may still be moved to userspace, while other pages which may not meet them can still be granted a mainspace page.

- Notable Players on Roster:
- Orgless Teams:
- Orgless teams typically refers to random stack created to compete in a qualifier or tournament, the stack may have no intention of competing for a prolonged amount of time
- Page creation for orgless teams may be delayed despite their notability
- The reason for this is that we do not want to have many pages for teams who have joined an organization shortly after the creation of the page, therefore making it less usable, since the team name is permanently retired in most instances
- For example, a page for a new orgless team that qualified for notable tournament may be delayed as in most instances they will be signed by an organization shortly
- Exception may be made if the team have a majority of well-known players
- Competed or qualified in at least 3 Tier 1 tournaments
- Competed or qualified in at least 5 Tier 2 tournaments
- Competed 2 consecutive tours in Division II of DPC Regional League

Other Organization Members[edit]
Pages for other organization members such as Managers or Founders are always up to administrators' discretion, they will also be considered if the person has been playing, coaching or part of the broadcast talent in the competitive scene previously.
Broadcast Talent[edit]
Broadcast talent may receive their individual pages, as long as they surpass a certain threshold of notability. Check the bullet points below. If your chosen broadcast talent fits at least one of these, then they are likely notable to warrant a page on this wiki. Achievement criteria does not include guest role.
- If the broadcast talent have worked in 2 or more Dota Major Championships main events.
- If the broadcast talent have worked in 5 or more Tier 1 Tournaments.
- If the broadcast talent have worked in 8 or more Tier 2 Tournaments.
For a broadcaster or stream to be included on a tournament page; the broadcaster or stream has to be contracted or announced by the tournament organizer as official broadcast of the language. (If it is not available, it will be determined via tournament personnel or DotaTV.)
- Note: Exception may apply if the broadcaster from any studio has secured streaming rights (the tournament has no official broadcast, typically a qualifier).
Tournaments[edit]
Tournament pages can be created if the event meets certain criteria.

Requirement[edit]
For a tournament to be covered properly the following details should be present:
- A DotaTV league ticket
- A prize pool of at least $500 USD
- This accounts solely for prize money paid out directly in cash, for example via bank transfer or PayPal. Other payment methods such as cryptocurrencies, coupons, or hardware prizes do not add up to the $500 USD threshold. Exceptions may be made upon administrators' discretion and only if the event features notable teams.
- Events without any prize pool which act as a qualifier or show matches may be added
- Basic tournament information
- Tournament name
- Tournament logo, as a high resolution transparent .png file or a vector file
Note: Either one version suitable for both light and dark backgrounds, or a separate version for each - Tournament format

- In case a team needs to be replaced this should also be documented, ideally with details on reasoning
- Note: For DPC or EPT tournaments, or qualifier tournaments that are hosted on platforms such as Epulze, FACEIT, or Challengermode, certain details may not be required.
Any additional information is always welcome. All material previously listed should be kept up to date throughout the tournament.
For any tournament to be added after its conclusion, not all details are required, as long as it is possible to have coverage without any critical details missing such as results.
Limitation of Coverage[edit]
As some tournaments such as open qualifiers may feature an open sign-up process or a very large number of participants, the coverage in Liquipedia may not cover the entirety of the tournament, instead may only feature;
- Stages that are relevant for prize money
- Stages that feature notable participants

The following guidelines apply for all tournament organizers who had organized no prior event.
All tournaments may be denied live coverage unless they meet ONE of the following points:
