emuLate! was a French team that hosted multiple squads on both Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source during the 2006-2009 era.
History[edit]
CS 1.6[edit]
emuLate! got its first lineup during summer 2006. Michael "HaRts" Zanatta wanted to come back in CS and had a precise idea with whom. He told Mathieu "MaT" Leber first about his project for a high level french team, and asked him to join. The latter would accept, and with three other players, namely Mickael "mSx" Cassisi, Jeremy "ioRek" Vuillermet and Mathieu "R!Go" Bridet, a lineup would emerge. Refused by Against All authority, they would finally land on emuLate!. They would quickly establish themselves as an elite team, first on the french scene, notably by defeating their rivals goodgame and Against All authority, then on the international scene, reaching the top with win at WCG 2007 over NoA and challenging the best teams in the world in multiple tournament.
They would then enter a period of troubles, with disappointing results throughout 2008-2009, following their failed attempt to qualify for WCG 2008. They didn't post results as good as the previous year, and even temporarily lost mSx who tried to create a team on his own, before rejoining the team back a few months later. [1]
The team would lose its players in July 2009, who parted way with the structure to join oXmoze. [2]
