Miscellaneous information
The "New Music Review", March 1910 issue, reports on a January 31 concert of the Springfield (Massachusetts) Symphony Orchestra which Janser conducted; he was also a violinist. Seems to have been alive as late as 1933 according to entries in the Library of Congress Catalog of Copyright Entries. (Or even, as late as 1938: his entry in "The Macmillan encyclopedia of music and musicians" from that year seems to be in the present tense.) If I'm reading one source right he was a pupil of Friedrich Hegar, Lothar Kempter and Oskar Kahal.
