If you want to eat turnip cake in Japan, you have to buy frozen food online, and supermarkets don't sell it. I don't dare to buy a brand that I haven't seen
Just do it yourself!

Add shredded radish/strips and stir-fry together, reducing the heat.
Pour in 2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp salt (adjust the saltiness by yourself)
Cook the radish until thorough.

  • Prepare rice milk, 250g of rice flour + 600g of water (including shrimp water and mushroom water)
The ratio of powder to water is about 1:1 - 1:2, otherwise it will be too thin.
Water and radish are about four times that of rice flour~

  • Be sure to dissolve the rice noodles, otherwise they will clump when they are put into the pan.
Pour rice milk into the cooked radish and stir well~
If it's too dry, add another 100g of water, but don't add too much.

  • Cook and pour into a rice cooker (electronic pot)
This is the size of three cups of rice~
I choose the rice cooking function, and because it's quite thick, I want to run it twice.
If it's too hot, let it cool down a bit, insert it in the middle with chopsticks, and it's OK if it doesn't stick!
After it cools a little, put it in the refrigerator overnight and let it go!

  • The chopsticks go around the edge of the pot, and you can easily take it out upside down~ It's beautiful!
Cut off the part to be eaten, and wrap the rest in safety film and freeze it on ice~

  • I asked my husband to help me take pictures, and it turned out that he was eating like this...
But it's more important to be delicious~

Tips

The radish skin really has to be peeled off a little more, otherwise there will be a bitter taste~
Ground meat can be added or not, and many of the Hong Kong TV will be changed to sausages, but if you can't buy it here, forget it!
Digression: It is very difficult to buy rice noodles in Japan, because the rice noodles generally sold in supermarkets are Penglai rice noodles, and the taste will be different. You can also buy long rice by yourself and come back to grind rice milk, but it just so happens that there is a Chinese restaurant selling it in Lotte~ It's relatively simple.
