snakebacon is a Python wrapper around the "Bacon" Bayesian age-depth modelling software (Blaauw & Christen 2011).

C/C++ code in this repository is modified from the original "Bacon" software, available under the GPL-3.0 /GPL-2.0 License. An updated version of "Bacon" is available in R package rbacon, available on CRAN (https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/rbacon).

We recommend the rbacon package if you require similar age-modeling software, as rbacon is regularly updated and maintained.
