The food is great and I do delivery which is always on time. It definitely has a Dominican vibe.

El Cibao is an authentic Dominican Restaurant, offering a variety of delicious Latino/Caribbean dishes. They treat you like family, that's the ambience. I have been at the restaurant and received great service. For years, mostly, I have been ordering for delivery. Also, I have ordered from El Cibao Catering, for years as well, for business. They deliver on time, and I have never received a wrong order or missing item. If your comfort food is Dominican/Latino call El Cibao.

This place was cute. Small, good food and lots of it!
My husband had this chicken and vegetable plate with tons of yellow rice and beans. I had shrimp and rice, which was delicately spiced and sauced.
We had gone around lunchtime. Pro tip: their breakfast specials seem to be all day, but they stop serving at a specific time. I was sad because I LOVE mangu! They did say they still had it but only as a side, not breakfast (and what's the fun of that).
Also only milk for coffee so no half n half or non dairy creamer. That makes me sad because I love Dominican coffee lol.
All in all, it was a nice trip. I rarely go to Brooklyn, so it was a good escape.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ashley A.New York, États-Unis2662788503 avr. 2024
Came on a Sunday, ordered our meal to go, and our food was ready within 10 minutes. I would come here again!
Passionfruit smoothie - asked for less sugar and it was still delicious
Carne frita - good, would have loved a little lime and little more salt for flavor
Arroz con gandules - delicious, had for 2 servings and great flavor, not supr salty which I appreciated.
P.S. - the menu prices are a little outdated so the cost is a little more than shown on menu. They accept card payments & don't charge a service fee. Clean bathroom.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 15 août 2023
Delicious Mofongo! The bread they also give is amazing! I also got a side of sweet plantains and avocado salad. I wish I had a Mofongo spot like this closer to my neighborhood but it was definitely worth the trip!

I was here with a large group to celebrate the end of a successful semester at school. I felt kind of bad because we took up a large chunk of the restaurant and we were pretty loud. I ordered a Diet Coke and squid rice. I didn't know what to expect, but it was really good. There were pieces of squid in the dish, and it was made with squid ink. Our food came out relatively quickly and our servers were really kind and patient with our group. I would recommend giving this place a visit because the food is pretty good.

The staff was good.
The food was decent, not the best I've had.
It's not really a place where you would take someone out to eat. It's very small. You're better off getting some takeout at a place like this.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rosalinda T.Brooklyn, New York, États-Unis020132 sept. 2024
The food was tasty and the portion was good as well. I ordered delivery and it was delivered promptly. The bistec encebollado was really good enough to share and my husband loved the beans.

Authentic Dominican food served with a smile. I'm Dominican and get cravings for the "Mangu con los Tres golpes" every now and then. So this is where I go to satisfy that craving. The Mangu is consistently well made. The price is a deal for the amount of food served and the Presidente beers are always icey and "vestido de novia". Feels like you're being served by your aunty and the ambience is what Dominicans are known for - merengue, bachata and some salsa. But not too loud! Stop by for a hearty affordable meal.
