No editing for 30 minutes on 17 January

[rætta wikitekst]
You will not be able to edit the wikis for up to 30 minutes on 17 January 07:00 UTC. This is because of a database problem that has to be fixed immediately. You can still read the wikis. Some wikis are not affected. They don't get this message. You can see which wikis are not affected on this page. Most wikis are affected. The time you can not edit might be shorter than 30 minutes. /Johan (WMF)

Help identify islands

[rætta wikitekst]

Hi! Could you please help identify the islands in c:File:Northeast Faroe Islands 2011.jpg? Are those part of Faroe Islands? If they are, could you please add some notes to its description? Thanks in advance! Takk!--Roy17 (kjak) 6. apr 2019 kl. 17:15 (UTC)[reply]

Picture
Hi Roy. Congrats! I can assure you, that without any doubt those Isles on the picture are part of Faroe Islands.
Left of center and in the center you see the Island called Svínoy (Pig Island) and right of center is Fugloy (Bird Island) clearly visible.
Here is a link to a map
Especially, the distinct shape of Svínoy leaves no doubt. But if you zoom into the image right of center you will even notice the tiny Fugloy village of Hattarvík, nestled in the bay on the left side of the steep rocky cliffs in the foreground.
Here is a map of Fugloy showing the location of the village:
Fugloy

I hope, this information will be sufficient for you. Best regards.--91.61.99.7 6. apr 2019 kl. 22:21 (UTC)[reply]

My Little Pony

[rætta wikitekst]

I'm going to create two stub articles about My Little Pony (the toys) and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (the TV series), respectively, here in the Faroese Wikipedia. Can anyone help me with translation into Faroese?

By the way, I wish the Faroese Wikipedia had an equivalent of en:Template:Interlanguage link.

My Little Pony <en; da>

{{For|<the 2010 animated television series>|<My Little Pony (2010 TV series)>}}

My Little Pony is a toy line and media franchise mainly targeting young girls, developed by American toy company Hasbro (en). The toy line features ponies with colourful bodies, manes, and a unique symbol on one or both sides of their flanks.

Following the original My Pretty Pony toy that was introduced in 1981, My Little Pony was launched in 1982. My Little Pony have since been revamped several times with new and more modern looks to appeal to a new market. Such relaunches occurred in 1997, 2003 and 2010, respectively.

My Little Pony (2010 TV series) <en; da>

My Little Pony (Enskt: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic; Danskt: My Little Pony: Venskab er ren magi) is an animated television series produced by the 2D animation studio of DHX Studios Vancouver (en) in Canada (previously known as Studio B Productions (en) until 2010) for American toy company Hasbro (en), which oversaw the production of the TV series through its subsidiary Allspark (previously known as Hasbro Studios until 2018). The series is a part of the 2010 relaunch of Hasbro's My Little Pony toy line and media franchise, which is primarily aimed at young girls. American animator Lauren Faust (en) led the development of the series.

In the United States, the series was broadcast on Discovery Family (en) (previously named as Hub Network until October 2014), which is a joint venture between Discovery, Inc. (en) and Hasbro. The Danish dub of the series was broadcast on Boomerang (en) for season 1, but moved to Nickelodeon (en) since season 2. The Faroese dub of the series was broadcast on Kringvarp Føroya's television service.

Update on the consultation about office actions

[rætta wikitekst]

Hello all,

Last month, the Wikimedia Foundation's Trust & Safety team announced a future consultation about partial and/or temporary office actions. We want to let you know that the draft version of this consultation has now been posted on Meta.

This is a draft. It is not intended to be the consultation itself, which will be posted on Meta likely in early September. Please do not treat this draft as a consultation. Instead, we ask your assistance in forming the final language for the consultation.

For that end, we would like your input over the next couple of weeks about what questions the consultation should ask about partial and temporary Foundation office action bans and how it should be formatted. Please post it on the draft talk page. Our goal is to provide space for the community to discuss all the aspects of these office actions that need to be discussed, and we want to ensure with your feedback that the consultation is presented in the best way to encourage frank and constructive conversation.

Please visit the consultation draft on Meta-wiki and leave your comments on the draft’s talk page about what the consultation should look like and what questions it should ask.

Thank you for your input! -- The Trust & Safety team 16. aug 2019 kl. 08:03 (UTC)
