Reporting on the implementation of the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products

Article 32 (Reporting and exchange of information) of the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products requires each Party to the Protocol to submit to the Meeting of the Parties, through the Convention Secretariat, periodic reports on its implementation of the Protocol.

The reporting instrument of the Protocol is originally linked to the reporting system of the Convention and resembles that in its format and in the platform it uses.

 

Parties’ reporting timeline

The Protocol establishes the reporting obligation of its Parties, in a way that is linked to the reporting system of the WHO FCTC. Parties to the Protocol are informed about reporting periods in official notes verbales.
