Usage notes
[edit]S'assurer que, in the sense of "make sure," takes the indicative mood: Assurez-vous que la porte est bien fermée. [1] The subjunctive is seen at times (Assurez-vous que la porte soit bien fermée), especially where the connotation is that the listener should check and then do the thing if it is not already done, but is generally proscribed.
