Can others still edit this?(WT-en) Edmontonenthusiast 21:03, 23 October 2008 (EDT)Edmontonenthusiast

Yes, I just did! (WT-en) cacahuate talk 21:14, 23 October 2008 (EDT)

Suggestion?

Can anyone help me in adding more information?(WT-en) Edmontonenthusiast 13:42, 24 October 2008 (EDT)

Hooters?

[edit]

Should we have a listing for Hooters? I know it is like global but it is very unique and they don't have multiple locations/city in Canada (except Toronto). I am just wondering. There isn't really anything different about it from a regular one from my knowledge, but I think it should be in there. It is not like Dennys or Perkins. I'd say no. Hooter's is an international chain (they even have them here in Japan), which is one minus, and it has limited appeal as many female travellers wouldn't consider going there. (WT-en) Texugo 22:43, 9 December 2008 (EST)
So and so? It's unique even though I don't particularily like it and it's not like McDonalds where there is 400 per city. (WT-en) edmontonenthusiast [ee] .T.A.L.K. 19:29, 18 December 2008 (EST).
Unique it is not. And the only attraction there is not the food, not the service, not the atmosphere, just girls wearing revealing clothing. To say otherwise is a kind of "I only read Playboy for the articles" type argument. (WT-en) Texugo 19:50, 18 December 2008 (EST)
Just cause you obviously don't like it doesn't mean people don't want to hit up the local hooter's. I don't like it either, but I am thinking of all sorts of people that may like it. It is like having a Prada store or a LV store, they are scarce too (1 per city, and prada like 3 in NA). (WT-en) edmontonenthusiast [ee] .T.A.L.K. 20:07, 18 December 2008 (EST).
I didn't even say I don't like it. I just don't think it is appropriate for a travel guide. 220.99.170.103 20:30, 18 December 2008 (EST)
The way you put everything assumes that you don't. Actions speak louder than words -it's true. I would like to get someone else in, cause we need a new perspective. (WT-en) edmontonenthusiast [ee] .T.A.L.K. 20:50, 18 December 2008 (EST).

Hooters is not unique, and including an international chain in this guide makes Edmonton look like a place without local flavor. And that's a thing you want to avoid when writing a travel guide. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 22:17, 18 December 2008 (EST)

River Cree

[edit]

There is a big casino called River Cree Resort and Casino, but the problem is, it isn't in Edmonton. The actual city border is right across the street, though. Should it be put here or in the First Nations Land - where that would be the only thing. (WT-en) edmontonenthusiast [ee] .T.A.L.K. 14:59, 19 December 2008 (EST).

Try to ignore the actual city limits; they're rarely of interest to the traveler. (WT-en) LtPowers 15:42, 19 December 2008 (EST)
Thanks. (WT-en) edmontonenthusiast [ee] .T.A.L.K. 15:44, 19 December 2008 (EST).
