I want to create user boxes for each belt-rank of Shotokan karate. I was thinking of having the shotokan tiger in it, to the left, with a message "This user is a brown belt karateka" with a brown background, for instance. I'd have another for each rank.
You should really chose a more pleasent color for the paintball one. And also the picture of actual paintball match would be good. BonesBrigade03:29, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
The first one is from the Honorverse series of novels by David Weber, if anyone's wondering. The Royal Manticoran Navy are the "good guys" in the series. The second box is to denote members of the United States Army Military Intelligence branch. The color for the box itself is as close as I could fiddle it to the actual branch color. (They're my first boxes, but I like how they turned out.)
colour of belt used (since clubs use varying colour schemes)
I've found that the basic colours are not good for the belt colours (example: using 'brown' as the second parameter looks more like a dark pink). See examples on Drmadskills/Userboxes for good sample colours.
Pardon me for possibly sticking my nose where it doesn't belong, but I really have to question the appropriateness of a userbox that states an opinion as fact while yelling it in big red print. --Poochy (talk) 06:35, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
