I am not sure the exact pages but possibly from pages 60-85. Either version is fine. The pages I need corresponds to the genealogy of Abigail Maheha and her descendants by Kamehameha V. Look for any mentions of Keano or Keanolani. A footnote from another source indicates page 78 but I wanted to be sure hence the requested page range. Various UAE stubs: As per Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Hundreds_of_garbage_articles_created_by_blocked_user various ones are suspected to be hoaxes. This was the source cited, so having a copy can help verify/disprove them.

Thanks, WhisperToMe (talk) 17:32, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@WhisperToMe: I have a reference copy available near me, but as the source says it's 128 pages therefore I can't scan all of them. Do you have any specific articles you want to check? --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 19:28, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@MrLinkinPark333: Unfortunately John Carter to my knowledge never provided specific page numbers, and he made a lot of UAE geographical stubs deemed questionable by the community. My suggested plan of action is going for the table of contents and the index. These can be crossreferenced with the list of stubs created by Mr. Carter. That way specific pages indicated by the TOC or index can be summoned. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:09, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I'm looking for a list of Female Speakers of the State Senate / State Assembly by Year in this book:

I already have the list of female speakers of the House of Representatives, but not the Senate. I'm not certain if there is a Senate speakers list in this book, but I persume there would be as there's a list of House of Representatives speakers on page 108. This would help expand List of female speakers of legislatures in the United States.

Thanks, MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 22:21, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@MrLinkinPark333: I don't believe State Senates have Speakers. If you mean Presidents of the State Senates, I can do this. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:51, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Worldbruce: I'm not sure either but I'm looking for the equivalent of the House of Representatives speakers for the Senate. For example, the Wikipedia list has Karen Bass who was Speaker of the California Assembly and Barbara Buckley who was Speaker of the Nevada Assembly. Maybe the book has it under State Assembly instead but the book said "Speakers of the House" on page 108. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 23:59, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Number 57: Both these journals (1917 and 1920) are freely available at HathiTrust (with a US IP address), although the scans of the 1917 issue are badly distorted. Hope this helps - if you don't have access, give me a ping. Cheers  hugarheimur 02:00, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Number 57: As for the 1914 edition (which HathiTrust doesn't have), on the Google Books snippet view I clicked "Where's the rest of this book?", expanded "You can't see the full book", and clicked "ask us to review it" to have Google review whether they can make the full view available, explaining on the next page why I believe it's now in the public domain. It's possible that a volunteer can get the page from a library, but if not, check Google Books every few weeks to see if they've made the full view available. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:39, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sent #1 to Nizil Shah. As a matter of best practice, I don't think it is a good idea to extend threads ad infinitum with new requests, and would suggest instead that you create a new section once you realise at a later point that you need additional material from other works as well. Best, — Pajz (talk) 18:55, 31 October 2018 (UTC) (By the way, I hope it is from the right volume [= 32, as the one your link points to]. [Vol. 31 is also in part from 1982.])[reply]
I will post new request for new resources now onward. I agree with your point. Regards and thank you for providing resources, Pajz.-Nizil (talk)
