Mz7, unfortunately the underlying range and pattern of data is rather annoying, but it is as much of a technical match as possible. Behaviorally, though the English Wikipedia edits may not necessarily fit the pattern, it does on the Simple English Wikipedia. Best, Vermont (talk) 02:59, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is newly created sock, created after the last bunch of puppets were blocked earlier this month. This sock's history, shows that they immediately began editing the page, Sowemimo Abiodun, which had been recently edited by another sock, User:Forcivef20. A comparison of the changes by each show a definite similarity. See this and this. Onel5969 TT me 14:05, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Very similar edit summary patterns as previous blocked socks. Three socks I saw are Abzskhd8065 (compare this summary by Mukaigurin with this summary by the sock), Tarell005 and Jasmine441 (latter two are socks found on simplewiki, both blocked at enwiki and glocked). Combimed with a similar focus on BLPs, especially Nigerian ones, I felt that this was very, very obvious. Requesting CU as there doesn't seem to have been a check in a while, and CU has turned up sleepers in the past. JavaHurricane 12:59, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Possible UPE sock/meatpuppets involved in creating and trying to preserve a whitewashed promotional version (this rev) of Mandla Lamba.

  • These three users made the only edits of actual substance before the article was rewritten, all other edits were maintenance. Very curious, because subject of article turned out to be a known fraudster.
  • Lamini12/Lamieni55: similar names, created one day apart, both did just enough to attain autoconfirmed before creating initial page and moving back to mainspace after it got draftified.
  • Gingie11: likely sleeper shows up to defend at AfD, also contributed small edit. Contribs shows vandal/inactive that abruptly starts taking interest in AfDs on 28 Jun — possible attempt to "establish cover" first (Mandla Lamba AfD nom was made on 26 Jun)
  • After article was rewritten, Gingie11 persistently seeks to restore "desired" version, gets blocked. Lamini12 takes over, then gives up(?). Notice that both undo edits one by one rather than revert in a single edit. Disruption appears to have ceased (for now at least)
  • Found a conversation between admins that suggests possible connection to previous cases
    • Gingie11 made page moves about Momar Sakanoko, obsession of Williamchaupin sockfarm
    • Gingie11 similar name to sockmaster Ginginie11 which has sock Lilio11 (probably more suspected, but no sleepers detected at that time)
  • Similar edit summary wording "Highlight (for)" across users: Lamini12, Lamieni55, Ginginie11, Lilio11 and simple:Special:Contributions/Gingie11

CU requested to 1) confirm/refute sockpuppetry 2) establish any connection to Gingie11/Lilio11 3) check for additional sleepers

Thanks in advance to CUs/clerks. 2406:3003:2077:1E60:C998:20C6:8CCF:5730 (talk) 21:14, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • This log search makes it clear that these accounts are the same person; GMB Hafinew created Nancy Davis (Quadratic Capital) on the 4th, it was deleted an hour later, and recreated exactly two days and four minutes after its original creation by Femvxa12Wa.
  • Both accounts' first edit was to their user pages, and they both made just enough edits to reach autoconfirmed before creating the page.
  • Both have "mobile edit" and "mobile web edit" on their edits — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 11:45, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This appears related to a similar situation documented partially at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Naveen Jain (2nd nomination) and Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2022 February 24. I found Nancy Davis Quadratic while looking at the scope of the problems with the Naveen Jain AfD. --Hipal (talk) 21:00, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • I was researching this sequence of events yesterday with a view to requesting undeletion, and today I see there's now Draft:Nancy Davis (businesswoman). Regarding the comment "All UPEs either way, but, any idea what happened there", I voted keep at the AfD and I'm not a UPE. Anyway, thanks for blocking the socks and hopefully the article can be recreated better this time round. Mujinga (talk) 11:39, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed these accounts acting suspiciously over at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Matt Klein (strategist). Puvasoca has an interest in Daniel Kelley (hacker) (uploading commons:File:Daniel 4.jpg and adding it to the article), which has been frequented by previous socks; this account also uses similar phrasing to previous socks (compare "per Google search" in [6] with [7][8][9] etc.). Sabomancoo backed up Puvasoca in the Matt Klein AfD, and the two use similar language (compare "has pass" in [10] with [11]). Both accounts share some fairly clear edit-summary similarities (etc.) with previous socks; happy to elaborate if necessary. Requesting CU to look for sleepers. This one didn't come up on the last check, but I think it's pretty clearly a match: the account creation date matches that of previous socks (compare [12] with [13][14][15]), Isihu created the Matt Klein (strategist) article that attracted Ameerah1 socks when it was AfD'd, Isihu is interested in Seema Jaswal ([16][17][18]) just like previous socks ([19][20]), and there are clear edit-summary similarities. Requesting CU to confirm and to look for sleepers. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 20:03, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • MER-C - these accounts are all dotting about the same wide, spammy, socky ranges as each other, which have also been used by Ameerah1. Each one uses a different distinct UA, which are different from the ones the last bunch of socks used, but those might be spoofed. I guess I'm in  Possible territory - if you're confident based on the behaviour, block away. Girth Summit (blether) 12:12, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
