- Image is the logo of a sports team. The assertion of a release under a CC public domain license is dubious, especially as the same person created the article for the team by copying copyrighted material. Whpq (talk) 04:05, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Lockheed Lodestar.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Unsourced image of a United States Army Air Corps aircraft claimed as expired UK crown copyright, no reason to believe why the United Kingdom government would take an image of a United States aircraft with a background that would not at first glance give an impression of Britain. The fact that it was found in a book published in the UK doesnt really prove anything, it may be US government public domain or it might be a Lockheed publicity shot but really need more evidence. MilborneOne (talk) 11:26, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- (Uploader's response)—I never claimed it was UK Crown Copyright. In fact looking at it again it is credited in Aircraft of the Fighting Powers as "Courtesy of Lockheed Aircraft Corporation". From my limited understanding of US copyright law its status depends on whether it was renewed after 28 years, and unless anybody knows how to find that out, I agree it should be deleted.--Keith Edkins ( Talk ) 16:55, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry about that somebody else added the PD-UK tag. MilborneOne (talk) 17:03, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Russell Scott.jpeg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- copyright info from source - "We believe that most of the images are in the public domain and that provided you use them on a website you are unlikely to encounter any difficulty. However, if you wish to use them in any other way -- in "paper" publishing or on a CD for example -- we cannot guarantee that there may not be outstanding copyright problems. " Bulwersator (talk) 15:23, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment Scott Russell died in 1882 so if the drawing was done in his lifetime it will be out of copyright.[1] In principle, this could be a recent drawing (from a photo) but this seems unlikely, particularly bearing in mind the copyright statement. - No source given. Souza became WH photographer in 2009, but the photo was taken in 2006, so the image is unlikely to be in the public domain if it is his work. Jatkins (talk - contribs) 16:42, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- per commons:COM:FoP#United Kingdom, posters and advertisements are not covered by Australian freedom of panorama laws (Australia's law is based on the UK's law). Not to mention this isn't free in the US either, where it technically has to be by Wikipedia's rules because the WMF servers are located in the US. - The link you posted does not work: the statement that Australian laws on freedom of panorama are based on the U.K.'s is at commons:Commons:FOP#Australia, the United Kingdom law is discussed below. —innotata 15:49, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
