File:Phrozen crew.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Alkivar (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

A non-free screenshot of a website that no longer exists. The subject of the image has no parent article covering it, it's only part of a long list of groups, with the entry mentioning this group a grand total of one sentence. The fair use rationale states "To identify the subject of the article through their logo on their website", but the group in question isn't the subject of the article, it's just one in a very long list. The group itself isn't notable enough for its own article, this image adds nothing useful to the list and the fair use rationale is faulty. EnPassant♟♙ (talk) 02:40, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The fair use rationale is not faulty in any way. This is just another ploy by EnPassant, who is WP:FORUMSHOPPING, including at ANI: [1] Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:56, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I don't see where it is being used for "identification and critical commentary relating to the website in question" as required . I also don't see why it is being used in List of warez groups; it's the only image in the entire long list article and the other 31 groups in that list article do not have any images, much less screenshots. The rationale that the screenshot is being used "To identify the subject of the article through their logo on their website" in false because Phrozen Crew is not the subject of the article and in fact there are only 22 words of text about Phrozen Crew in the entire 3,700-word article. Softlavender (talk) 07:27, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Non-free images in lists cannot be said to meet NFCC8. Stifle (talk) 09:39, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Cleary fails NFCC8 because it adds no understanding to the one sentence (!!) in this article which is about this group. Black Kite (talk) 13:26, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as per above, clearly doesn't meet NFCC8 as it's not the subject of the article. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:38, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:NFCC #8, it does not add significantly to the list article, as it illustrates ONLY a single item on the list. If it were illustrating an article about the website itself, or in an article where discussion of the appearance of the Website itself formed a significant portion of the text; where the website's appearance was specifically discussed and where the illustration was demonstrating features that were discussed in the text, NFCC8 would be met. This clearly does not meet those standards. --Jayron32 15:33, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File:Perry2022.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Hongqilim (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Fails WP:NFCC#1, as there is a freely useable image of the mascot: File:Perry and Emma Lou.png (which could be cropped to just include the mascot). Also, fails WP:NFCC#8 as it's being used in an article about the 2022 Commonwealth Games, not the article about the mascot itself Perry (mascot)- although it fails NFCC1 in that article too, as a free image exists Joseph2302 (talk) 16:20, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am ready to request for its deletion, if required.--Hongqilim (talk) 16:58, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File:PussyfootTheWayThatYouDoIt.ogg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Rossrs (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Current usage in Pussyfoot article not clearly justified. Using it in "The Way That You Do It" article wouldn't help either IMO. May likely fail WP:NFCC#8 in any way. George Ho (talk) 22:06, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File:GoldfrappSatinChic.ogg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Rossrs (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Usage in Goldfrapp not well justified. Uncertain whether it belongs in Supernature (Goldfrapp album) and/or Satin Boys, Flaming Chic. Default to favoring deletion and deciding that it may fail WP:NFCC#8 until I stand corrected. George Ho (talk) 23:10, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: keep in Ooh La La (Goldfrapp song) only. plicit 23:40, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File:GoldfrappOohLaLa.ogg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Rossrs (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Unsure why it's used in Supernature (Goldfrapp album), which isn't entirely about one entire song. It may or may not belong in Ooh La La (Goldfrapp song); I'm undecided. I wonder whether the song would still be understood without the sample. George Ho (talk) 23:14, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep in "Ooh La La": I have moved the sample into the body and added a description of the composition. The sound of the "clattering" keyboard in the song is hard to describe using words alone, so I think the sample would help readers understand what it sounds like. Its use in the album's article is marginal, as the many people know what electric guitars sound like.
