No references provided to demonstrate notability of this compilation. While the title includes some notable authors and has a notable editor, the compilation itself doesn't appear to meet WP:NBOOKS or WP:GNG. I'm not finding substantial third-party coverage to deliver references that demonstrate notability. Mikeblas (talk) 15:04, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- Keep. This is the greatest science fiction anthology ever complied! DominicCapuano (talk) 15:16, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
- Keep. ISFDB shows contemporaneous reviews in leading genre periodicals; it was also reviewed in National Review. Merril's anthologies were regularly reviewed in general newspapers and magazines, which are note readily indexed online. It's discussed in books like Judith Merril: A Critical Study, The Oxford Handbook of Science Fiction, and Better to Have Loved: The Life of Judith Merril. Tracking down relevant print coverage from the time of publication is difficult, but what turns up in even a cursory online sweep is enough to assure the subject meets the GNG. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). Treated like dirt by administrators since 2006. (talk) 00:42, 31 October 2016 (UTC)

- Keep, meets WP:NBOOK and WP:GNG, [this shows] it was reviewed by The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Analog, National Review, and the Saturday Review - "This is one of the best of the annual anthologies that Merril has edited, her cogent and informative notes on the authors adding to the pleasure of reading fresh and inventive science fiction."[1], and Bud Webster wrote of SF12 "This book was, as I look back on it now, a turning point for me."[2].
