This is an underdeveloped content fork of Penny (British decimal coin) and Penny (British pre-decimal coin). There is also an extensive series on the history of the penny, such as History of the British penny (1714–1901). A merge into these articles is a possible outcome, but there's really nothing to merge that isn't already there. Suggest deletion.--Wehwalt (talk) 12:35, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Delete, with note that no one refers to the penny as a penny sterling anyway, and in addition to the Wikipedia articles mentioned by Wehwalt above, we have Penny (English coin). We do not need four articles about English or British pennies (the concepts being very closely allied). We don't even need three. Frankly all could be combined into a single article, except that I've seen too many national currency arguments end up at ANI, so I really don't want to get involved. Delete as per nominator and the arguments above, this is a needless article as its content can easily be covered by the other articles mentioned (and I think "penny sterling" is a somewhat unlikely search term due as it is not a commonly used term so I do not see any value in a redirect). Dunarc, "penny sterling" appears to be a well-attested term, see Google Books (where the uses appear to be mostly historical), or a simple web search (which comes up with some contemporary uses, like this one). – Uanfala (talk) 11:52, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
