The subject of this article to meet the standards of WP:N due to lack of multiple, non-trivial references in reliable, third-party sources. There's no Wikipedia policy on the oldest anything being automatically notable by the encyclopedia's standards (also based on long-term consensus, including most recently the redirecting of this World's oldest person). Thus we default to the general notability guidelines and any material of encyclopedic merit can be included on the many longevity-related lists on Wikipedia. Keep Person was world's oldest for a time, therefore is notable. DN-boards1 (talk) 17:54, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

Delete As per WP:Notability (people): People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. Isambard Kingdom (talk) 19:53, 10 October 2015 (UTC)
- Here's a bunch of RSes:
[1] Unfortunately, that's it. Perignon was oldest living man for....8 days. Not much time to cover him. "Oldest living man is now...Oh wait, he died." DN-boards1 (talk) 19:57, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

- Delete This one might even qualify for a WP:SNOW deletion. This stub could be used as an example of the near-perfect antithesis of a proper Wikipedia biography. The subject is non-notable. The article cites no reliable sources. While human longevity is an important topic for an encyclopedia to cover, having unsourced pages for every person who ever purportedly held a mythical championship for aging is the wrongest way to cover the topic as I can imagine.
