When I'm clearing colour problems up I usually only look at the top half-dozen or current month's edits. Having looked again...Facepalm. Bonkers, absolute bonkers. - ~~~ X201 (talk) 14:12, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team

Popples (1986 TV series)

[edit]

I'm editing back Popples, but I wrote it based on the following source, which I'm unfamiliar with, so I'd prefer not to completely revert it if I can help it. The broadcast information in the article I reverted in the first place is incorrect on a number of dates, so...

"New York Magazine". April 7, 1986.{{cite web | url=https://books.google.com/books?id=reMCAAAAMBAJ | title=New York Magazine | date=June 8, 1987 } Ss3162000 (talk) 16:32, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Ss3162000: I understand the date corrections. But I can't understand why you've changed the numbering to 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b etc. For shows that are two episodes shown in the same block, we still only number them as 1,2,3,4. If you're trying to indicate they were broadcast together, we do that by getting the broadcast date to span two rows. If that's what you're trying to indicate, don't go changing it by hand, I'll write a script to do it for you. - X201 (talk) 11:09, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, those specifications in the English version are different from those in the Japanese version, so it is difficult to swallow.
Sorry to be so one-sided, but I would like to see a diagram (template) showing the editing method presented by X201.
I will swallow the specifications based on that. Ss3162000 (talk) 12:49, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As for how to write the episode numbers, I just referred to articles on other works such as “The Flintstone Kids”, so please don't be offended. Ss3162000 (talk) 12:56, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not offended. Glad you linked it. There are a number of things wrong with it that need fixing. - X201 (talk) 17:09, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Layout, this is what I'm used to seeing on articles:

No.
overall
No. in
season
TitleOriginal air date
11"Popples Panic at the Library"April 5, 1986 (1986-04-05)
"Cooking Up a Storm"

Popples Panic at the Library: The Popples help Bonnie choose a book to take home. This episode marks the first appearance of Bonnie, Party, P.C., Potato Chip, Puzzle and the librarian.

Cooking Up a Storm: The Popples get up to some cooking antics. This episode marks the first appearance of Billy, Putter, Pancake and Pretty Bit.
22"Molars, Bicuspids and Popples"April 12, 1986 (1986-04-12)
"The Treasure of Popple Beach"

Molars, Bicuspids and Popples: Billy goes to the dentist for a check-up. This episode marks the first appearance of Prize, Billy's mom and the dentist.

The Treasure of Popple Beach: The Popples are trying to find the treasure of Popple Beach. This episode marks the first appearance of Puffball.

If they are separate episodes but shown together, this helps group them together. - X201 (talk) 17:09, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, X201. I will use it in future editions. Ss3162000 (talk) 02:31, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
