The article Hyman Wright has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. GimliDotNet (talk) 17:21, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Question about a variety of sweet potato
Here is a question I left a couple of days ago on the talk page of the List of sweet potato cultivars article:
- Today at the San Francisco Civic Center Farmer's market, I bought some sweet potatoes that were described to me as being "Hawaiian sweet potatoes". They are light tan with rough skin on the outside and the flesh inside is purple. I cooked one tonight for dinner and it was delicious! What is the technical name for this variety of sweet potato? Keraunos (talk) 09:48, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for answering my question so promptly and so completely. However, there was one thing I was wondering about. In the List of sweet potato cultivars article, you put that an Ayamurasaki sweet potato has an outer skin that is colored sangria, which is a dark red color. However, the sweet potato that I bought had a light tan outer skin which was very bumpy. Are there different varieties of Ayamurasaki sweet potatoes with different colors of outer skins? Participation: Out of 49 people signed up for this drive so far, 26 have copy-edited at least one article. It's a smaller group than last drive, but we're making good progress. If you've signed up but haven't yet copy-edited any articles, please consider doing so. Every bit helps! If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late. Join us! Progress report: We're on track to meet our targets for the drive, largely due to the efforts of Lfstevens and the others on the leaderboard. Thanks to all. We have reduced our target group of articles—January, February, and March 2011—by over half, and it looks like we will achieve that goal. Good progress is being made on the overall backlog as well, with over 500 articles copy-edited during the drive so far. The total backlog currently sits at around 3200 articles. Hall of Fame: GOCE coordinator Diannaa was awarded a spot in the GOCE Hall of Fame this month! Disambiguation Pages
Hi there,
I notice that you added alternate uses of the word "View" to the View article in this revision.
However, in this case such alternate uses are already covered via the View (disambiguation) page and the View article itself only covers the most common meaning of the word. (This is what the line saying
- For other uses, see View (disambiguation).
at the top of the page is for.)
If you're interested, the Disambiguation article explains more.
Hope this helps. All the best, Ubcule (talk) 21:08, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

July 2012 Study of authors of health-related Wikipedia pages
Dear Author/Ringbang
My name is Nuša Farič and I am a Health Psychology MSc student at University College London (UCL). I am currently running a quantitative study entitled Who edits health-related Wikipedia pages and why? I am interested in the editorial experience of people who edit health-related Wikipedia pages. I am interested to learn more about the authors of health-related pages on Wikipedia and what motivations they have for doing so. I am currently contacting the authors of randomly selected articles and I noticed that someone at this address recently edited an article on Artificial insemination. I would like to ask you a few questions about you and your experience of editing the above mentioned article and or other health-related articles. If you would like more information about the project, please visit my user page (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Hydra_Rain) and if interested, please reply via my talk page or e-mail me on nusa.faric.11@ucl.ac.uk. Also, others interested in the study may contact me! If I do not hear back from you I will not contact this account again. Thank you very much in advance. Hydra Rain (talk) 12:22, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Pimsleur hyphen
What source(s) did you use to determine that the article should be entitled Pimsleur language-learning system rather than Pimsleur language learning system? The first source in the article says "the results became the Pimsleur Language Learning Method" and none of the others appear to refer to it by any similar name, with or without a hyphen. VernoWhitney (talk) 23:13, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for your conscientious oversight of this article! The following is my reasoning and justification for this change.
- First, in this context, language-learning is a compound modifier. In addition to Wikipedia's Manual of Style, various authorities (such as the Chicago Manual of Style), publications (such as National Geographic), and educational institutions encourage linking terms in a compound modifier with either a hyphen or an en dash, excepting a few special cases.
- In the noun phrase in question, a hyphen distinguishes the phrase from an alternative reading, such as Pimsleur language learning-system.
- But isn't Pimsleur Language Learning System a trademarked brand? Evidently, no; it seems to be neither. I could find neither Pimsleur Language Learning System nor Pimsleur Method in a catch-all search of the USPTO database.
- I'm aware that Pimsleur's copy-writers use the phrase Pimsleur language learning system in the scripts for some of their products. However, the only instance of this phrase I found on pimsleur.com was in a reciprocal link to the Wikipedia article.
- As for Pimsleur method, Pimsleur applies the trademark symbol to this noun phrase in at least two places on their website: In the heading of this page, and in this page's hyperlink to the previous page. My query of the USPTO database didn't validate this claim to trademark. Moreover, Pimsleur's own treatment is inconsistent. In other places, they either do not use the trademark symbol at all in Pimsleur method, or render it as Pimsleur® method (which is consistent with the trademark filings I found). Based on these findings, I think Pimsleur method may be the most appropriate title for this article. Ringbang (talk) 20:47, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry for disappearing, I forgot to check back here. I had noticed that the unhyphenated form of the title was grammatically incorrect, but had not bothered to do anything with it earlier because it was the term used on the pimsleur.com page. Since we don't necessarily care about the official name though, I'm inclined to agree with you that the straightforward "Pimsleur method" may be the best place for it. If you think it might be controversial we can go ahead and start a topic on the talk page in case anyone else wants to weigh in, otherwise I'll probably move it there later today or tomorrow. VernoWhitney (talk) 15:38, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me. "Pimsleur method" seems to be the preferred term in primary and secondary sources. Ringbang (talk) 08:58, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

While I see that the use of the client term has diminished with recent edits to the Comparison of BitTorrent clients page (thanks!), it still features prominently both in the page title and the software own names. So, I've restored the “misnomer” note reverted in 517603048.

Please can you explain why you have retagged Gough's quotation in the lead section of Nair. It is now attributed to her in the sentence and the source is cited. Speedy deletion nomination of Unmount
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Unmount requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Activision Anthology may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
