Meiko Scientific/Meiko Computing Surface
[edit]Pstakem,
I wanted to let you know that I completed the proposed merger of MeikOS and Meiko Computing Surface into Meiko Scientific. Because some of the information you added to MCS was redundant to both articles and you didn't make a comment about the merge I used the version previous to your edits [1]. If there is information that should be in the article please add it to Meiko Scientific. Thank you, and I apologize if this causes you extra work, I was trying to clean those articles up and since much of it was repeated I went ahead and did the merge.23:28, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Md steamer.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Md steamer.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:44, 8 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 17:44, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.--John (talk) 14:03, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
John,
Not sure what you are referring to. I am adding my books as a legitimate reference to pages that the would be relevant to. There seems to be a call for references in many of these cases. I see this a s payback to Wiki, as I have used it extensively. I didn't know how to reference the <<reflist>> tho, so my formatting may be wrong.

- Thanks for the reply. Per our conflict of interest guideline, you should not add references to your own work. I suggest raising it in project or article talk first. Hope that makes sense. --John (talk) 14:20, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- ok, that's fine. will take a little longer, but can do that. Thanx.

- That said, how can I get a dead tree (or PDF) copy of Stakem, Patrick H. The History of Spacecraft Computers from the V-2 to the Space Station, 2010 PRB Publishing, ASIN B004L626U6? With some Googling, I only see it on Amazon Kindle, and it could be interesting to me. -- ke4roh (talk) 18:30, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
It is designed and produced as a Kindle edition, but I can send you a .pdf It is currently under extensive revision, and is in review at NASA/GSFC, NRL, and JHU/APL. A companion volume on the subset, Micro in Space is also in the pipeline. Actually, if you promise to send back review comments, I will send you a .pdf.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of T. H. Paul, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://home.comcast.net/~phstakem/rr/TQC/THPAUL.html.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. I would suspect that the material matches that in my earlier page.

- I have to remove the material but it can be used in Wikipedia if you verify permission. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.--NortyNort (Holla) 12:03, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
The article Nasamike has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. [edit]Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Nasamike, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. -- WikHead (talk) 14:02, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 5
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited James A. Millholland, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mount Savage. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:44, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
