MfD nomination of Kate McCann
I've nominated Kate McCann for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Kate McCann and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Kate McCann during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Barliner talk 01:02, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi Peter, how are you? I saw some of your comments in Wikipedia:Featured article candidates and would like to ask if you could please make an informal review of William Cooley. Your input would be very much appreciated!--Legionarius 17:26, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I'd be happy to give it an informal review. Sorry for the delay in replying–I'm currently on holiday and I can only get to a computer every few days. I'll start it now and leave my comments tomorrow. PeterSymonds 19:28, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- You are very kind! Thank you and enjoy your holidays.--Legionarius 00:58, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your excellent review and kind words. I will address the changes and wait for the feedback from Mrprada before putting it up to FAC. I am a bit torn up on how the references will turn out, though. My problem is that different information is coming from different documents. Anyway, this is one of the easiest thing s to fix :-).--Legionarius 21:24, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, i have been on a bit of a hiatus with this project. Thanks for joining and i see you have done well on that FA article. I could in the next few days copy things across possibly with that from the other project i have been working on (WP:TIS) for the template. I'll start soon if it is okay. Simply south 22:16, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Only one or two things to sort out but you can now start assessing things i think. I also sorted your link to your username on the project page. Simply south 18:13, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Number of articles on the English Wikipedia
Hi, 2.1 million? Not yet, unless you're putting in some headspace into the figure. Regards, — BillC talk 08:36, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, sorry, I changed it as soon as I realised my error. Thanks. PeterSymonds 08:37, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Maindate
I don't know what you were trying to do with this edit, but it caused an error in article history and removed the mainpage listing from the articlehistory template. I fixed it. Please note the maindate parameter in articlehistory. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 13:03, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:Sarah Churchill Duchess.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sarah Churchill Duchess.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:17, 7 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Queen Alexandra image by Lafayette
"Scanned from my own carte de visite collection" ???? What a lie. This image, in this form, was not a carte de visite, but a negative in the archives of the V&A - a negative which I personally cleaned for use in an exhibition. How galling, therefore, to see you claim that you scanned this "Carte de visite" from your own collection? I thought Wikipedia was all about truth and honesty and not lifting other peoples' work and claiming it as your own possession in order to avoid the copyright issues. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.133.1.176 (talk) 14:01, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- I did not upload this image. I have checked this and I know it is my username, but I have not uploaded anything to do with Queen Alexandra (though I have made several edits to the article and similar articles). I believe that this image was uploaded by someone using my computer (this was the case a while ago). I never breach copyright, and I have not personally uploaded this image. Fair use rationale for Image:Holy Trinity School Crawley logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Holy Trinity School Crawley logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. I'm posting a message to all members of Wikipedia:WikiProject_European_history to make sure everyon is aware that there is a proposal (apparently never discussed on at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_European_history to deprecate the project and mark it {{historical}} supplanting it with Wikipedia:WikiProject_History/Task_forces/Europe. Whether or not this should occur, we need to have as much discussion as possible. So far, only two editors have had anything to say about it. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_European_history#WikiProject_History.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 18:28, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Harman with PM and former PM.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Harman with PM and former PM.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:34, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
