Tom Mustill issues

[edit]

Hello OtisSpanner. I am happy to provide further explanation about the issues I saw with this article. Before we go too far, could you please clarify whether you have any connections to Mr Mustill or the publishers of his books and films? Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 11:05, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @MrsSnoozyTurtle - thanks for your reply. Yes, I have a connection to the subject, though not a commercial one/one related to any of his publishers/commissioners/etc. I've not been asked/paid to create/edit the page, I just thought that he fitted/fits the criteria of notability and so drafted what I thought was a reasonably impartial page (having looked at other examples elsewhere of similar personalities).
Having done further research around this I see I should have approached this as a COI and perhaps used the Request Edit/suggested pages process instead of trying to draft one myself. Apologies and thanks for flagging the issue.
I'm not sure what the right process is now (whether the whole article would need to be scrapped, or if it can be put to mods somewhere for review/adjustment in due course) but I'll step back from it now in any case to avoid any further issues. Let me know if there's anything else I need to do form my end. OtisSpanner (talk) 09:13, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your time in reviewing the Draft page and your feedback @Mattdaviesfsic, much appreciated. I'll review the filmography section and add sources. I'm conscious that IMDB isn't considered reliable for Wikipedia articles, so I'll remove any from this section where reliable sources outside IMDB aren't available.
