June 2024

[edit]

Information icon Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to Taiwo Awoniyi. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 09:08, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Date format

[edit]

Please do not change the dates in the articles you edit. For instance, the date format should either be June 22, 2024 or 22 June 2024. This is the norm on Wikipedia. Using this same example, please do not say 22nd June 2024.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 23:35, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Majbire, just curious. Is there a specific reason why you changed the date format in the Adesua Etomi and Temi Otedola articles? I'm curious because Nigeria follows the DD-MM-YYY format. I personally prefer the MM-DD-YYY format and have written several Nigeria-related articles with this particular format.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 14:59, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
