Flora categories

[edit]

Hello MWAsura, I noticed that you have added some geographic categories to plant articles. I'm wondering if you're familiar with the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions? It's a categorization scheme for flora geographic categories and is the standard at WP:PLANTS. The details are at WP:WGSRPD. Botanical geography can vary a bit from political geography. For example the Canary Islands are botanically part of Africa and the Caucasus region is botanically part of Asia. The WGSRPD doesn't discuss "Trees of" categories, but as e.g. Category:Trees of Europe is a subcategory of Category:Flora of Europe it's best to choose one or the other as articles are not typically placed in both a category and its subcategory. I hope this helps, Declangi (talk) 06:46, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Japan–Portugal relations, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ōmura. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
