Regarding Landskrona BoIS player articles

[edit]

Hi

You will notice that I have nominated several of the articles you have created for Landskrona BoIS players for deletions. I'll write here to explain as there were so many articles. Football players are only notable and deserving of an article on the English Wikipedia if they have made an appearance in a fully professional league, see Wikipedia:NFOOTBALL for further explanation. Superettan does not count as a fully professional league and therefore players who have only played in that league are not notable, unless they have played for a national team or are notable per Wikipedia:GNG. I hope you understand. Please write to me at my talk page if you have any further questions. Thanks. --Reckless182 (talk) 01:56, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Has not played in "a fully professional league" ? I can agree that Tapper-Holter perhaps isn't a celebrity. But if we should use "FULLY" professional league through history - then ALL players who only played in Allsvenskan (or lower) would become erased aswell. All teams in Allsvenskan are still certainly NOT FULLY professional. (Having a few full professional players isn't sufficient. FULLY pro leagues comprices ONLY clubs which all have fully professional troups (atleast 22 players). While Sweden has several clubs which uses part-timers. And if we go back to the best international period (of Allsvenskan) , Malmö FF become runners up in the European Cup in 1978-79, IFK Göteborg winning the UEFA-cup in 1981-82 aswell as 1986-87 - the best era (so far) was 1978-1987 - and the first ever professional team become Malmö FF just after this period. Hence I say we cannot glue us to this "rule" (- where "us" equal approx. "English Wikipedians from Sweden and similar") entirelly, since every historical player from the pure amateur days would have to be erased (unless they made caps or played abroad). I think we ought to add "reason" to the rule referred to. It does hardly help this player, but historical amateurs and part-timers aswell as second tier players who has made a strong impact. Now Hasse Persson had made some seasons in HIF, but is remembered for his second tier efforts in BoIS, should we remove him due to this fact ? Great players like Benny Mårtensson and Kent Johansson ("Kylling", IFK Malmö) have they ever played in Allsvenskan ? Or Nacka Skoglund for that matter. We have to use some amout of reason aswell. A tag has been placed on File:Alexander Farnerud in Landskrona.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:53, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for Your efforts with Landskrona BoIS

[edit]

Hello ! Thanks for your efforts with Landskrona BoIS. Reguarding capacity of IP, please keep in mind that currently there are no stand at the western end. When BoIS met AIk home in 2002 attendance was 10,000 and that was full. The board enforced teporary wooden terraces, and build a concrete terrace stand in 2003. But it was removed in 2011, one main reason for the falling attendances in later years, aswell as the plastic pitch suggestion. Heja BoIS ! Boeing720 (talk) 08:19, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Landskrona BoiS Foreign Players

[edit]

Hi Gryf, Unfortunately there is no need to list every foreign player to have played for a club, for the simple reason that a players nationality does not make them any more or less notable. You wouldn't, for instance have a list for every black player, or every left handed player.

There are other serious issues with the list as well. Firstly, a large number of the players have no WP article and so it is impossible for a reader to verfy whether these players played for the club per WP:V, given that there is no source for the list. Secondly, players such as Feliciano Magro, Ian Moores and Christopher Sullivan (soccer) have played only a handful of times for the club. There is nothing notable whatsoever about their career at Landskrona and they do not need to be called out in a specific list simply because they are not Swedish.

Imagine also if you tried to have a list like this for a club like Barca or Man City, it would be huge. Have a look at other football club articles and at the Manual of Style, such list do not appear in articles as they are not lists deemed necessary in the manual of style. If there are players on the list who are important to the club and who have made significant contributions to the club in terms of appearances / goals / etc. they should be coveredi n sourced prose in the history section of the article.

I'm sorry that you feel your time has been wasted writing this section if it is removed, but please also see WP:MERCY as to why this is not relevant. Fenix down (talk) 12:38, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with you. I think a complete list of every foreign player who have ever represented the club - which I for a fact know that this is - has great encyclopedic relevance. This is not Barcelona or Manchester City, it's Landskrona BoIS. A second division Swedish football club where foreign players historically have been very rare. Also, the section is clearly relevant if - for example - an American, Nigerian or Dane reads the article and wants to know which players from their respective country who have previously represented the club. I can't find anywhere that they have deemed lists like this unnecessary in the manual of style either. The source is from a Swedish football encyclopedia (Årets fotboll) from various years, where they clearly state the nationality of the players. In contrast to you they find it very relevant. I will be adding references to the section as soon as possible. Gryf (talk) 13:12, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'd agree with User:Fenix down on the point of why list foreign players as one particularly notable group of players over any other way of categorizing them? The same logic that you used—that Nigerians or Americans might read the article and wish to know whether their countrymen ever played for BoIS—also applies to any other trait they might have. For example, someone from Dalarna or Gothenburg might want to know if any Dalecarlians or Gothenburgers have ever played for BoIS? I really don't find it to be a particularly relevant fact. — Swedishpenguin | Talk 13:29, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Gryf, references aren't an issue, WP is not a stat dump or directory. You will need to show where there have been significant reliable sources covering Landskrona foreign players in detail. There is no need whatsoever to list players like the ones in your list who have played in some instances fewer than ten games. If you wish to establish consensus, please start a thread at [[WT:FOOTY] where a wider selection of people will be able to comment. Currently the consensus at the Manual of Style that this is not a fundamental part of an article still stands. Fenix down (talk) 14:02, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately Dalecarlians or Gothenburgers aren't listed in Årets fotboll. Otherwise I don't think that's a bad idea, but a list like that is probably better suited for the Swedish WP. I think the section has great encyclopedic value and I don't see the point in deleting something just because someone suddenly find it irrelevant. Gryf (talk) 14:36, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well firstly, WP is done by consensus, not individual opinions, so your personal view that it is of great encyclopedic value carries no weight at all. Secondly, in this debate, you are in the minority. If you feel strongly about it, I would suggest again that you go to WT:FOOTY and look for the wider opinions of the football project members as currently there is no consensus for it to be added back in. Fenix down (talk) 15:32, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have gone through every year book of Årets Fotboll from the start to get this list right. Actually, you have strongly taken away the joy of contributing to this encyclopedia. Consensus, you say? Your removal of the section wasn't an individual opinion in itself then? Gryf (talk) 19:42, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Gryf, I really understand the predicament, and so I really don't mean this to be harsh, but the amount of time we spend working on something isn't really relevant, and as Fenix down pointed out, that argument is a perfect example of what they're talking about at WP:MERCY. Oddly, I have more of a problem with a list of foreign players than if there was a list of all BoIS players ever, which at first I had trouble reconciling in my head, but it really makes sense. Because then you're not picking out this group of players based on the fact that they happen to not be Swedish. It's like if an NHL team had a list of players who aren't North American. It's just a bit weird of a list. Interesting and everything, but not necessarily encyclopedic. Like Fenix down said, a guy who come on as a substitute for BoIS in two matches isn't notable. But now he ends up getting mentioned on the article just because he's not Swedish. It's a bit random. — Swedishpenguin | Talk 22:01, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think how many (or few) games a certain player has represented a club is a reason to exclude the player. Let's take Malcolm McDonald's appearances in Djurgården as an example. Ian Moore was perhaps not up to his level of fame, but that's also a subjective question. Clearly some of the foregin players are of encyclopedic value. And here the border is by nature subjective. Players that has contributed well in Landskrona BoIS, aswell as players that elsewhere was or later become notable, must atleast be on the list. If the list has been available for a long time, Gryf indeed has a point. Suggest to move this issue to talk page of Landskrona BoIS. Boeing720 (talk) 16:22, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see much point moving it to the club talk page as it is not like there are a number of active editors not already involved in this conversation there. Like I have said above, please take this to WT:FOOTY if you feel there is a need for this listing and get consensus at project level. The fact that you admit this listing is subjective however Boeing highlights how inherently un-encyclopedic it is. Fenix down (talk) 13:04, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I actually stated that the entire list cannot be excluded, we have to see at each player. And if they have contibuted notably (like Swedish players) to BoIS, there is an encyclopedic value. The same applies to players that may have become famous later, or like Arsenal F.C. striker Malcolm McDonald when he played a few games for Djurgården in 1979. I didn't state that the list as such is subjective, but that the evaluation of each and every football player through the entire history by nature becomes subjective. A player that indeed is of encyclopedic value is the Danish Leif Carlsen, who (among other things) scored the only goal in the indeed very importaint game against Helsingborgs IF back in 1970, in front of 15000+ attenders. This result ment that BoIS won their regional second tier league - and then also managed to qualify for Allsvenskan in 1971, (and only weeks after 15000+ spectators again watched the qualification game against Sandvikens IF). However SvFF rules regarding Allsvenskan at the time, stipulated that only Swedish citizens could participate in the top national league. So Leif Carlsen wasn't allowed to continue in BoIS for their 1971 Allsvenskan come-back (after 21 years and including four lost qualifications -58, -59, -62 and -68). Can anyone really mean that this isn't of encyclopedic relevance ? And there are many more examples that are of encyclopedic value. Afo Doodo contributed in highest degree to improve the defence when BoIS got promoted to Allsvenskan in 2001, aswell as during the following season until he got injured. Björn Nordqvist was at the time he played in BoIS the most ever player in the Swedish national team. If he would have held the same record for f.i. Norway, he would have been of encyclopedic value. Each and every player must be delt with separatly. Boeing720 (talk) 23:04, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If they're that important and their achievements that significant then they should be mentioned in sourced prose in the main body of the article, not in a random list where it is impossible for readers to understand why they are there other than the fact that they are not Swedish. Pretty simple really. Fenix down (talk) 07:49, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well put, Fenix down... sums it up nicely. — Swedishpenguin | Talk 08:07, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I tend to agree with You there. What Gryf could do is create a separate article list ? The article already has lots of lists. I've had a look at f.i. Darlington F.C. and Newcastle United but none of the articles, lists anything else than current players. Boeing720 (talk) 03:25, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Such a list would only be appropriate if it can be shown that the notion of foreign players at Landskrona had attracted significant reliable coverage per GNG. As you has already been noted above that the list is small and a number of players have only played a handful of games, I do not see the necessity for such a list. Discussion in the main body of the article is always preferable to a list. Fenix down (talk) 11:49, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Landskrona BoIS

[edit]

Hello Gryf ! I was just thinking - If You want reply on the talk page, perhaps You should use it first ? As I understand the matter is about old players that has represented BoIS ? Compare with a few English or Scotish clubs (minor ones playing in League One or Two, these should be of equal relevance as BoIS. Have You Leif Carlsen at the list, by the way ? He was a Danish player that scored the only goal in the very importaint game between BoIS and HIF at IP in 1970, in front of more than 15000 attenders. BoIS won the leeague and qualified against Sandvikens IF, IFK Luleå and Skövde. The home game (again with more than 15000 attenders) BoIS defeated Sandviken 3-2. Later HIF also was relegated to division III Skåne and lost against Gunnarstorp. During the 70's MFF was the only rival to BoIS. HIF ? What's that, I can recall remembering. I first watched BoIS together with my dad in 1971, against Hammarby 0-0 (I believe) - and we were sitting on benches at the running tracks. I believe the attendance was close to 10.000. Now I will watch BoIS - Syrianska at IP, not in television. Cherry up and add your thoughts at the talk page ! Boeing720 (talk) 16:08, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Regional trains whithin Copenhagen's ticket fare system

[edit]

When I lived in (Høje)Taastrup, I always used the regional trains instead of the S-trains. They are much faster than the S-trains (or Metro, which didn't exist in those days), and stoppes at Valby, Hovedbanegården, Nørreport, Østerport, Hellerup etc. And along Kystbanen they are the only trains between Klampenborg and Snekkersten. Today they departure between Nivå and the Airport every 10 minute. And their importance has increaced during the last 15 years or so. Regional trains are also the main rail transport between Roskilde and Køge. Even if they (often) continue further - outside the Metropolitan Area of Copenhagen (which demands other ticket types) to western and southern Zealand or Scania, their use within Copenhagen mustn't be forgotten. Thanks. Boeing720 (talk) 01:53, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

West/East municipalities

[edit]

Hello ! I just want to explain, that I never found out a good reason to show the population density differency, at the time when I made the map and table. But now there is a valid explination. Either directly by the coast - or borders to a municipality that does. All yellow fulfils this requirement. And no other does. Someday som may think the map is unecyclopedic (or whatever). Of cource Båstad could be included as wetern, but the population density would fdrop a bit. I would like to remove Svalæv for thar reason, but then the requirement isn't fulfilled and it will lokk stange aswell. So I urge You to not change it again. Best regards Boeing720 (talk) 03:09, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possible help ? Article Sonny Johansson

[edit]

Hello Gryf ! Are You possibly in possession of "Svenska Fotbollsförbundets årsböcker" ? Especially if You have access to the Years 1971 to 1980 it could be of great help. If so, You could perhaps make some contributions to the Sonny Johansson article. There is a statistic part, which tells how many goals Sonny scored each of his 17 seasons in Landskrona BoIS. However how many of his goals that was scored within Allsvenskan isn't mentioned in the table due to lack of data. Perhaps You could find this one out ? (Also - if it's possible at all, find out scored goals in league, cup, intertoto, cup winners cup , friendly etc. He also played both UEFA-cup goals against Ipswich Town FC in 1977, but I believe Ipswich won 1-0 at IP, though I remember a head hit in the bar from Sonny. At Portman Road I think Ipswich won by 5-0) Cheers ! Boeing720 (talk) 21:50, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lists

[edit]
You removed a few hours of work, by erasing the first 15 seasons. I can accept a separated such lable. But You better invent it - and then "recent league seasons" must be around five only. I mean, whats "recently" ? 15 seasons ??? And the cup has been initiated by SvFF, closed down again, upstarted as a brief qualification to the UEFA Cup-winners cup. In 1977, all clubs that sorted under SvFF (Allsvenskan 1x14, Division II 2x14, Division 3 12x12, Division IV (i think 72x12 clubs. This was good promotion when larger clubs played small clubs in the summer time. But the rules canged again. Several times. And today it resembles a "pre-season Champions League", I believe 47500 chairs was empty during the final... The BoIS 1972 victory was actually a re-match. In Norrköping came 2000, and the speaker was sorry to say, an extra 2x25 min. had to be played. The extra time was goalless. Hence a NEW final was to be played in Landskrona. A couple of fans and some shops in the city centre made an affort to make it a party, in the end BoIS themselved contributed. About 10.000 came (but previous season, 1971, BoIS had an home average attendance of 9.000 in Allsvenskan ! So it really only was special in the context of the Swedish cup. Nothing more. Though Norrköping scored twice, Torbjörn Lindström came in. And in 15 minutes he scored twice - and Cronqvist once. In the final 1976 against AIK very few came (3500 I guess)-but even less at Råsunda !
OK ? The cup has generally not been a hit in Sweden. And it wasn't mentioned in the headline. If YOU think the list of league seasons is better in a special list, then Do that. You have my support atleast. Otherwise please do not remove lines. I've now reached the 1950's.
You never answered my previous question. I've notated yhat many new players has been deleted (atleast their pictures), I'm sorry - and it sure wasn't with my involvement. So I gave You an other statistical "task" - I got the impression that You have access to "SvFFs årsöcker", and I think it would be of encyclopedicasl value , for the Sonny Johansson article, statistical part, don't You ? Perhaps I was mistaken about the annual football-books. But Your way of answering was a bit strange, I think. 100 lines isn't much for a table of encyclopedical value. But it seem to me that You believe fottball history to began in 2000.

But it's the entire history - frpm Diana and IFK Landskrona that is our legacy, or history. History - unlike prehistory, is usually defined as humans that has written somethings down about events, wars, rulers etc. And goes back around 7000 years. In the case of BoIS as of today - we would be nothing without our history. The name "Landskrona BoIS" through the times. Including some of the names. Perhaps You can make stubs (or better) about Knut "Buckla" Hansson, improve Hary "Hacke Dahl", Sigvard "Kallinge" Johansson, Leif Carlsén (Gjorde jätteviktiga mål 1970 - t.ex det enda mot HIF hösten 1970, inför 15.000 på IP och sen i kvalspelet (igen 15.000 på IP) - men fick pga dåvarande regler inte spela i Allsvenskan, Tommy "Gyxa" Gustavsson (Gustafsson ?), Bosse Augustsson (BoIS part), Kenneth Hjertsson, Stuart Baxter (BoIS-part), Anders "Puskas" Ljungberg (BoIS-parts), Göran Pettersson, Per-Åke Theander, Claes Munch af Rosenschöld, Harry Wibratt, Roger Karsson, Gert-Inge Svensson, Mats Lindblad, Per Harrysson, Thomas Gustavsson (Gustafsson), Issa Manglind, Tommy Hansson (BoIS-part), Joakim "Jåcke" Nilsson, Håkan Söderstierna (BoIS-part), Afo Doodo, Hasan Cetinkaya (BoIS-part), Kevin Amunike (BoIS-part) etc, etc. Samtliga har spelat i Allsvenskan. Vill du inte detta heller. Så finn ut nått annat. Med vänliga hälsningar Boeing720 (talk) 04:18, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You also state (or revert edit)- that Sonny didn't get BoIS promoted to the new Superettan in 1999. It wasn't a "full tier promotion", but still an advancing to a higher league than they hade played in during 1998 and 1999. If remaining (not became promoted to Superettan) in Division 1 Södra, this had been a relegation. Half of all teams in the two Division 2 was relegated. And since a national 16 team league has higher status and competence, it i from encyclopedical point of view of value to mention this. During Sonny's 3 years as manager , BoIS was promoted one and a half step. Please realize this. Mvh Boeing720 (talk) 04:43, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My intention was never to delete the list, just move it to a different page since it will be too long and unreadable to have such a long list on the club's own page. It deserves its own page and I have now moved it to List of Landskrona BoIS seasons and improved it since you unfortunately made a lot of mistakes typing in incorrect numbers. I have also added a lot more seasons, ending at 1981 Swedish football Division 2, so please feel free to add in the gaps between 1981-1999. Regarding Sonny Johansson, it's unfortunately not counted as promotion when the league is split in half - that's a fact. Heja BoIS! Gryf (talk) 16:10, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

First time ever You have responded, here or at the talk-page. But You run to an other user, making very strange complaints. You did well in adding many years at the new section of all articles. It's now completed - except for details of 1985. Div 2 Sydvästra Götaland isn't easy to find on the webb. But Please respond at the talk-page in the future, then we presumably can find some understandings. Also, please keep in mind what's requiered for "good reading" nominations though. The step from Division 1 Södra to Superettan was a kind of promotion. No team was relegated from Division 1 down to Division 2 in 1999. Formally the SvFF status of Division 1 remained the same also after 1999. Boeing720 (talk) 04:49, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You're making a lot of edits, some of them are good but some are just really, really unnecessary and bad. Can't you see that you're completely messing up the lay-out and templates? For example, I've seen that you have accounted for seasons 1981-1999 in the List of Landskrona BoIS seasons and I can already find a lot of mistakes. For instance, 1982, they weren't on 6th place, they were on 5th. 1986 you have written that they came on 12th place... No, no, no! They came on 6th. And it continues like that with most of your edits. Can't you see the mistakes you're doing in your editing? And you still have the nerve to use that tone with me? Get your facts right so the pages about Landskrona BoIS can be improved, because right know you're making the page worse and you don't even realize it. Gryf (talk) 08:50, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pontus Eriksson

[edit]

Hello Gryf. I do not see any reason for us to be angry with each other. Since I asked You for possible help about Sonny, You have taken a very angry attitude towards me. I do certainly not own the article, and we all keep an eye on each other. This ensures the high quality of English Wikipedia. But personal harassment is out of order. I do though appriciate that You have began using the talk-page. If You had done so earlier much troubles could have been avoided. I now kindly ask You to keep to the subject(s). We all do misstakes - like the reference I stupidly missed to move. But that's what other contributers are for, like I stated - to keep an eye on other's misstakes. Could we not together (including other contributors) attempt to follow Wikipedia standards in order to, in a future, make a request for a "good reading" review. I've learned that leads shall be an overview of the contence (in articles with several headlines). Here we also must let go of some stuff that isn't up to standard. We have got a good help from Reckless, and I propose we begin to work together. I'm not Your enemy, please do realize that. I can for instance see Your point that the change of chaiman not quite belongs under the arena headline. On the other hand it was the aftermath of an issue that was related to the grass vs artificial turf question. In my opinion this is noteworthy to mention, so if You agree on that. Where to put it ? If I somehow have offended You, I humbly appologize. And I'm sorry if that's the case. Boeing720 (talk) 23:51, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Boeing, please realize that it isn't "personal harassment" when another user is trying to correct your mistakes. For an example, sentences like "Landskrona IP, a venue that always have had and still has grass as turf" and "artificial turf has grown in popularity in more northern parts of Sweden" shouldn't be placed in the lead section of Landskrona BoIS. I hope you understand why? I humbly urge you to proofread before you make your contributions, so that there won't be any need for other users to clean up the spelling errors and factual inaccuracies. --Gryf (talk) 00:15, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Correcting errors isn't harrassment, of course not. It was ment in other matters, like accusing me for "lots of errors" in the table we actually created together. And twice bringing up the well-known fact, that I'm banned from Swedish Wikipedia, a long time ago. (Infact It was I that quit due to an fascistoid administrator. When he disappeared I was welcome again, but after a while a new administrator blocked me for no obvious reason, I then discovered that it was the same person, that had changed alias. In general I wanted to use global or local perspecitves, not Stockholm-perspective. In that sence I was stubborn. A map like the one I've made in the Scania article in order to show the population density of western Scania, was one reason I was blocked, I guess)
What is essential for the lead is a rather subjective matter, by nature. In my opinion in these "artificial turf days", I thought it was of some value. More importaintly, the lead shall, if possible, be free of references. That was my intention of the changes today. Here is a spendid example of that Erich von Manstein - dispite the very long lead, all references are located outside the lead. Only if there is no other option, references may be accepted in a lead (even with "good reading" or "featured" status), but it's against the guidlines I've put a link to at the talk-page. And in any case, a lead shall reflect the article. This is the purpose of a lead.
Even after proofreading, errors do occur. Even the sun has its spots. Nobody's perfect. You make a great matter of this. And please don't mix up "spelling errors" with "factual inaccuracies". The latter am I hardly guilty of more than You. (You used Swedish words in the list we made, I used English and cleaned up after You, I could argue. In any case it cannot be both, don't You agree ? - Yet an example of your hostile attitude towards me) I asked if we could work together and I do so again. I haven't the foggiest idea of why You suddenly became so hostile to me, after I asked for Your help regarding Sonny. Still I appologized IF I had offended You unintentionally. Do You think I am behind the erased articles ? I am not. Not in any slightest degree. I alöways attempt to be frank. Can we possible attempt to work together instead of fruitless hostilities ? Pontus Eriksson Boeing720 (talk) 01:18, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Everything in the lead should be referenced with reliable sources, not removed. Speaking of subjectivity, how can you think that the sacking of a manager in 1979 is of so great importance that it should be placed in the lead? And what has artificial turf in northern Sweden to do with Landskrona BoIS? The reason why you were blocked on the Swedish Wikipedia was because of querulant behavior, nothing else. There's no such thing as a "Stockholm perspective". You were blocked because you used your own perspective all the time, just like you do here. The article Landskrona BoIS shouldn't be written from a supporter perspective, it seems to me like you're putting the emphasis on many of your own favorite players. And yes, I can find factual inaccuracies in a lot of edits you've made about Landskrona BoIS. For instance, you repeatedly spelled names like Tommy Gustafsson and Göran Petersson wrong and you're always mixing up years and results. You lower the quality of the article significantly with your peculiar edits. --Gryf (talk) 09:49, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You were blocked (https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Användardiskussion:JPEriksson) because of "text with your own research and own speculations and priorities of the facts that should be disclosed", "uprooting of articles which calls for major efforts to clean out that what may be of value", "inaccuracies and excessive use of Bold" and that you "stubbornly stand by inaccuracies and aggressively defend your uploads". This is exactly what you seem to be doing on English Wikipedia as well. Once again, I urge you to learn from your mistakes. --Gryf (talk) 10:11, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Tommy Gustafsson and Göran Petersson are spelled Tommy Gustavsson and Göran Pettersson in the sources I read. Hardly stubborn or my fault. You must appriciate the administrator in Stockholm obviously dislikes me. And is of no matter here. So You refuse to work together, I presume ? It seem to me that You aren't the least interested in preparing the article for a future review. Regarding Your latest reverts, I have given answer at appropiate location. The talk-page of the article. Boeing720 (talk) 16:43, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
While reading the archive (https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Användardiskussion:JPEriksson/Arkiv) it seems to me as if the administrator on the Swedish Wikipedia made the right choice in banning you, regardless if he's from Stockholm or not. It is of very much matter since you seem do to exactly the same thing here. I am indeed interested in making a great article about Landskrona BoIS, and that is why I'm now cleaning up a lot of mess. For instance spelling errors and peculiar sentences about the possibility to view Copenhagen from Landskrona, which has nothing to do with the club Landskrona BoIS. --Gryf (talk) 16:57, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Where have I written about possibility to view Copenhagen from Landskrona ? That is taken from my own introduction page, not Landskrona BoIS article. What things do You refer to ? Whatever You wright, You always use the phrase "clean up". And "mess" ? Is it not a gross exaggeration ? I never made any point of the administrator coming from Stockholm as such. It was perspective matters, such as is the Berlin "S-Bahn" to compare to the Stockholm area "Pendeltåg". They are very different. S-Bahn works like the S-train in Copenhagen, and are not just a suburban to city transport. Berlin and Hamburg S-Bahn (like Copenhagen S-tog) are entirely disconnected from all other tracks, have stations distances of 1 km, rather than 5 km, a circular line etc. And departures atleast every 10th minute during mid-day hous aswell as peak hours. I wasn't stubborn, just right. And that administrator clearly stated at his page "I don't like discussions". He abused his power, which isn't possible here. I will continue under a new headline. Constructive work

[edit]
You may dislike me (feel free to do so) but I do not understand why. We have all been subjects of disappointments, I know how You must have felt when many of Your articles was deleted. This has happened to me aswell (articles atleast twice) but I'm mostly thinking of the donated pictures, that a now banned user removed. He obviously checked me up, after a question. And look now User:Werieth, a sock puppet ! If he had not interfered the donations might had been approved. They were not a copyright issue, but in a "grey zone". And frankly - I think Your articles did no harm. I can also understand if You want to keep the lists You've created.
They could stayed a while longer, possibly. But I also feel that this article ought to be reviewed for "good reading" in a future. Do You disagree with me on that ? Reckless (who has contributed to amazingly many featured and good reading articles, must know which parts that cannot stay. Nore he or I felt any pleasure in removing anything. But most parts are only reallocated to other articles. I'm not certain (You better ask first), but the Saibo part can possibly be written as an article. Regarding Rasmus Lindgren, who never represented BoIS (1 cup match ?) - here I cannot see why You wanted to keep him. Especially since he left in bad standing, very unlike f.i. Alexander Farnerud. After all his edjucation he got from BoIS, but BoIS never got any money at all.
I'm not perfect. I do misstakes. But I attempt to do my best. And I think You do just the same. Regarding all those matters.
Obviously we are the main two contributers to this article. And for the sake of article we have to work together, or at the very least not against each other. And after all we got the season list finished, didn't we ?
One of Reckless first points deal with the lead. To his contribution I would like to enlighten You what I myself have learned. Leads must cover the contence of the article - only. And preferably, as a result of this the issue of reference locations, becomes to avoid them if possible within the lead.
Proposal - either You give me free hands for the lead during a week. Or we do the opposite, I will not interfere with anything in the lead for atleast a week. It's my suggestion, so I leave it to You to choose. I'm also open for any of Your suggestions. Just don't get personal, please. Boeing720 (talk) 04:14, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for grammatical correction

[edit]

I've noticed Your grammatical improvement in Sigvard Pettersson article, thanks ! You have made quite a few of that kind. And I have also thanked You before. It was good of You to accept the chairman's name as he wants it, like accepting the removal of Lindgren from list of notable players. And I find it sad if You still are angry with me. Boeing720 (talk) 00:08, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks !

[edit]

Thanks for Your help with Stefan Nilsson (footballer). Well done, Gryf ! Boeing720 (talk) 22:17, 24 October 2014 (UTC) Another concern though. Black & White may call themselves "official" (Why , I don't know. At my time (1993) 1994-2002, we were proud to be independant). In any case Fredrik Lind, current secretary of BoIS, has mailed me (on my request) and he writes "B&W är absolut inte en del av BoIS. De är en supporterklubb ". Of course it comes down to what the word "official" actually means. In my mind, an official supporter club is runned by the club somehow. This isn't the case with B&W. I suggest we just remove the word "official", or do You have other ideas ? In any case thanks for Your help Boeing720 (talk) 22:26, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I've changed the word "official" to "biggest". Gryf (talk) 09:50, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gryf, everything well I hope. Have You seen this ?

(the second from the top, as of right now - about BoIS) If You are a member and agree in the criticism, concider attend the annual meeting. I'm mostly upset by the fact that Kenneth Håkansson hasn't thrown in the towel somehow. That's what a man is expected to do after have failed, shouldn't he ?
