Welcome
[edit]Hello, Gmcomp, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!
Hey, I realise you've been editing for a while now, but I saw nobody dropped by to say hi yet on your talk page. I made some minor tweaks to your pages on intellect to give them a more "wiki" style, though I'm no expert editor myself.
I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you might have, just drop me a note. I'm sure there are a lot of editors who would be more than happy to help if you need something. BigNate37 19:26, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Eigenhat.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Eigenhat.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 21:41, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 14
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Cottagecore, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Set (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:16, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
Avoid original research, look for reliable sources
[edit]Hi, I had to remove some of the content that you added to Cottagecore. Although what you added was interesting, and very likely relevant, it's considered original research and synthesis unless a reliable source makes the connection between those things and cottagecore. Remember that anything we add to an article must be verifiable to a reliable source. And speaking of reliable sources: sites that contain user-generated content like IMdB and StackExchange are not reliable sources, so I had to remove the content that you added to If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.
I see that you've been making a lot of good edits to articles, so I hope this doesn't discourage you. Writing what we know seems like an obvious thing to do, when we first start editing, but on Wikipedia, it isn't what we know but what we can prove (verify) that counts. If what I've said doesn't make sense or you have any questions, please ask. You can reply to me here if you want, I'll watch your talk page. Happy editing! Schazjmd (talk) 23:53, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
