About closing RFD's
My understanding is that when an RFD is closed because the redirect was turned into an article, the result is "Moot" not "Keep". Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 01:50, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
I noticed that you removed the PROD notice from this page wthout either giving an edit summary or a reason for doing so on the article talk page. Why? it is entirely non notable, unless there is a reason not given in the article. In future, please leave edit summaries and in cases like this a reason for your action.TheLongTone (talk) 13:30, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 24
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Vilovataya (inflow sluggish), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Terek (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

California Seismic Safety Commission
Hi Frank. Sorry to say I am painfully new to contributing to WikipediA and my initial experiences are not going well. I received that dreaded speedy deletion notice because the text I used for the Seismic Safety Commission's WikipediA page was used by another site to also describe the California Seismic Safety Commission. The text is my original content from the website I designed and maintain. However, it's perfectly fine for it to be used on other sites too. We want the Commission to be described exactly this way. I contested the speedy deletion but since I am unsure how things work behind the scenes here at WikipediA, I decided to just edit the URL where the Commission is listed and go with an external link. It's a shame because I would like to have created a WikipediA page for the Commission. Any hints for me?
Thanks,
Jaime Marso Webmaster for the California Seismic Safety Commission — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaime Marso (talk • contribs) 12:18, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I understand your desire to make a Wikipedia page for your Commission, however, as you are affiliated with the Commission, it might not be best for you to create and edit the article since you have a conflict of interest. If you own the copyright to the content, you can see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instruction on how to "donate" the material to Wikipedia, so that it can appear on Wikipedia and not be tagged with speedy deletion under copyright infringement. As with the deletion issue, if the contest to the speedy deletion is with a valid reason, the reviewing administrator will decline and not delete the article. Thank you and Happy New Year! --FrankDev (talk) 12:40, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

DYK for HD 179821
On 3 January 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article HD 179821, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that HD 179821, a bright star in the Aquila constellation, is a supernova candidate? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/HD 179821. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. Hi Frank. Thanks for your work patrolling new pages. I'm just dropping you a note to let you know that I've declined the speedy deletion tag you placed on Numafung, because the A7 (no significance) deletion criterion is quite proscriptive, and doesn't apply to films (only to people, individual animals, companies/organisations and web content). I've listed the page for deletion using WP:PROD instead, since I agree with you that it doesn't belong here. Cheers, Yunshui 雲水 14:31, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
decision to not accept DITTO article
hi frankdev. my article was recently reviewed by you and did not pass submission due to not presenting a neutral point of view. do you have any recommendations on how i can improve the article to help gain submission. i've went ahead and removed all but the very basic portions. i'd love to have some feedback as i'd like this to be my first published article on wikipedia =). hope all is well and thank you for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rysilla (talk • contribs) 02:03, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Your original version seemed like an advertisement,"You can...", only illustrates the good side of the website. Also, instead of "their", you should use "it" or "the company". I suggest that you read the Wikipedia guideline on neutral point of view. Additionally, at the end of your post on a talk page like this page, please sign and date your entry by inserting "~~~~" at the end. --FrankDev (talk) 02:17, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

hi frankdev. how can i go about resubmitting. before there was a link but now that link is no longer there. sorry for the ignorance but this is my first time posting. anyhow, i've updated and would like to resubmit my page for consideration . i've removed a lot of the content that seemed to focus on advertising and made better use of neutral language per your suggestions.
Rysilla (talk) 02:49, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, Rysilla, I am unable to resubmit the page, however, I think the article in its current form will not be accepted because it is too short.

Hello FrankDev.
Ja, Ich spreche Deutsch auch, und auch ein wenig Spanisch. But alas, while my friends are studying Chinese, that is not yet one of my languages.
Sorry if I left a comment you thought was not civil. I could say the same about your comments, as they are accusing me of 'promoting' or otherwise engaging in wrongful behavior. SO I will do as you suggest at the start of this page, and assume good intent on your part, and apologize again for suggesting possible jealousy.
Anyway, the article can be improved, I'm sure. I have added some more citations to other newspaper articles. I can remove all of the Vivint-created youtube videos if necessary, but I don't believe that would benefit the article. I believe it is relatively neutral in that it does not aggrandize his positive attributes beyond what they are. As I said, I don't know of his negative ones (everyone has them, right), though I have seen many negative ones about his company (all pertaining to overly aggressive marketing by his company, not to him individually). Those are dealt with in the Vivint article that's been around for quite a long while. Oldnoah (talk) 05:37, 10 January 2013 (UTC)Oldnoah
World Software Corporation Submitted Page Help
Hi FrankDev,
Thanks for your input on my submitted page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation/World_Software_Corporation). I was wondering if you could help clarify how I can re-write the page to be more encyclopedic/neutral. I toned down all of the company's PR information to put just the facts on the Wikipedia page, and I think that shows, seeing as there are no 'peacock' terms, at least from my point of view. I'd really appreciate if you could point out which areas of the article I should revise to make it more neutral/encyclopedic. Thanks so much!

Orphaned non-free media (File:Logo of Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt.gif)
Thanks for uploading File:Logo of Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:21, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
Your request for rollback
Hi FrankDev/Archive 1. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FrankDev (talk) 21:00, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

hi
I am new and I would appreciate your help more than deleting my first article. This subject matter is rather extensive so I thought it would be better to start with the sources. ImthatIm (talk) 21:27, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hi imthatim, welcome to Wikipedia! You would probably want to read Wikipedia:Your first article before you create your first article, and I strongly suggest that you use the Article for creation. Right now I could not get what you are talking about from the article. If you are in anyway related to the Trust, please read our conflict of interest policy.FrankDev (talk) 21:34, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hmm, well that is going to be kind of difficult. I will let you decide. The article would then have a conflict of interest with every single human being on the planet. Do people in Britain get to edit the article there? I am just asking. From what i have been reading, this is the same legal trust that is now formed and owns all of the governments established. I am still trying to make sure that whatever is written in the article is based on the published facts. ImthatIm (talk) 21:44, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry I was not being clear, but "related" means promoting the subject would be of interest to you. But I could not understand the "From what I have been" sentence. The fact that you are trying to make sure that whatever is written in the article is based on the published facts is good. FrankDev (talk) 21:56, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- hi again! The article was deleted so I am writing it again from scratch, however, I believe it was deleted because of a conflict of interest. I will post it again and I would certainly appreciate it if you could check the facts for yourself. Please understand that this information is rather new, but nevertheless completely real, filed, and unrebutted by what most common people in the USA believe currently is their government, but which is actually a now foreclosed corporation. Therefore, please also know I myself am not any of the people mentioned in the article but I do live in the American Territories. Anyone, however, who is still a party to, or using any form of benefit from the company known as the "Federal Reserve Bank" would certainly have a conflict of interest for such facts to be known. Therefore, I ask your help again with the editing of the article and would like to make sure that people other people are not using their conflicting interests as motives for deletion. Thank you.
