Advice

[edit]

Please do not move pages around, unless you're sure you know what you're doing. If you're not sure, please ask eg. at the Teahouse.

Also, do not create multiple copies of the same article/draft.

Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:51, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am a beginner on Wikipedia and need some help. I was trying to edit the Talk:Kambala Srinivas Rao page, but I encountered a message saying it was deleted under G8 (talk page of a deleted page).
I would like to know:How can I address content or discussions related to the deleted page appropriately?
Are there specific steps I should follow to create or request the recreation of the article itself?
Thank you Durgaprasadpetla (talk) 14:16, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Durgaprasadpetla. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:51, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Durgaprasadpetla, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Durgaprasadpetla|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:21, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Kambala Srinivas Rao, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:01, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You still have not adequately responded or taken action to the inquiry regarding your appearance as an undisclosed paid editor. If you make any additional edits without complying, you may be blocked from editing. 331dot (talk) 14:16, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Note that you are claiming you personally took and personally own the copyright to this professional looking image of Mr. Rao, so please tell your connection to him. 331dot (talk) 14:20, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You may be blocked from editing without further warning if you make any further edits without responding to the inquiry you received regarding undisclosed paid editing. 331dot (talk) 08:37, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Just to say that I intend to block you for failing to respond to multiple queries about your likely conflict of interest. I will not, however, block you yet, as that would prevent you taking part in the Articles for Deletion discussion which has now been opened on Kambala Srinivas Rao. You therefore have until the closure of that discussion to respond, after which I will block you without further notice. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:11, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not bludgeon the AfD discussion, or I will block you now, rather than wait until the discussion closes. I left you unblocked during this discussion so that you can participate in it; I guess I should have specified participate constructively. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:43, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, enough already. You really shouldn't have deleted that AfD discussion, that was the last straw. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:47, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
