I have unreviewed a page you curated
[edit]Hi, I'm MrX. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Birches Head high school, and have un-reviewed it again. If you've got any questions, please ask me on my talk page. Thanks, MrX
- Ah, thanks. Christopholes (talk) 16:04, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, I'm MrX. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Araf Shardd, and have un-reviewed it again. If you've got any questions, please ask me on my talk page. Thanks, MrX
- Hmm, at this rate maybe I should stop reviewing pages.Christopholes (talk)
- Please don't be discouraged. It's best to leave a page unreviewed unless you are sure that it meets Wikipedia's inclusion standards and is properly referenced. Please have a look at WP:NPPLOG to better understand when it is appropriate to mark a page as reviewed. With practice, I'm sure you will be a great new page patroller!. - MrX 16:50, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

- Oh no worries, I've edited other wikis extensively but they were much smaller and used the basic New Pages. Thank you and I'll give the page a look! Christopholes (talk) 16:53, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
Awwwww!
[edit]Thank you for deleting! It was a test :D

Page curation
[edit]Hi, I saw you marked Sirenoscincus mobydick page as a stub, is there anything in particular you would like to see about the species? What information do you think might be missing? Thanks. --Gryllida 04:58, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry. Kinda new at this. If the species was only described last year there probably isn't much to write about. Saw short article and jumped the gun. Christopholes (talk) 05:07, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
Oooooo, gastropod articles!
[edit]Couldn't help but notice that you made a bunch of gastropod stubs! Thanks so much on behalf of the gastropod project! Very kind of you! I went along behind you and added the project template to all of the talk pages of those stubs; that's something you can do yourself if you make some more of them. So, anyway, now I'm giving you this invitation:
I've noticed your edits on pages relating to Gastropods; perhaps you'd be interested in joining WikiProject Gastropods? If you would like more information, please visit the project page or the project talk page. |
Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 20:08, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- Sure why not? Christopholes (talk) 20:29, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
Ooooooo, another new member for the project!
Welcome!
A very big WELCOME to WikiProject Gastropods for you, Christopholes, a new member! We are delighted that you decided to join the Project! Thank you for creating new gastropod stubs. If you get bored with that task, there are always all kinds of different things that needs doing, like for example adding images to articles. Hope you enjoy your time here, Invertzoo (talk) 13:44, 2 February 2013 (UTC) |
One small suggestion
[edit]Christopholes, a request: do you think you could add the gastropod project template to the talk pages of the new stubs you create? That would be great. I have added it to some of your already. Just look at the talk page of Eulima glaberrima and you will see there is a fancy template there now. If you look on the edit page of that talk page, you will see it is just one line of wiki markup. You can just copy and paste that markup into the talk page of each species stub you make. Many thanks, Invertzoo (talk) 13:44, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- I can do that. Christopholes (talk) 15:08, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks Christopholes, it is a useful thing because once the article has that template on the talk page then it is counted in our article statistics. Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 21:56, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
Eulima genus complete!
[edit]Hello Christopholes,
All of the Eulima articles are now complete (aside from a few synonyms which are of minor importance regarding the genus), thank you for your cooperation with this very time-consuming task and well done for correctly creating these articles, I have to admit, it saved me from doing more taxing tasks. I would like to reward you with some chocolate-chip cookies for your helping hand on this task. Now that these sea-snails are defined, I am now going to continue to create other articles within the Eulimidae family of gastropods, if you are looking for a task to do, you can help me out there if you want to, just thought I could throw that in as a suggestion. Thank you, hope for the best! The whimsical enigmatic Solo Toady! 09:10, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
- I may be stressed for time for a while, but I'll help where I can. Christopholes (talk) 19:13, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
Request for comment
[edit]Hello Christopholes, I'm here onbehalf of WP:ORPHAN in which you are also a participant. So, we want your opinion to a WP:ORPHAN related matter. It is a proposal by Technical 13. Please have a look here. Your opinion (i.e support, oppose etc) are very much appreciated there. Thank you. By Jim Cartar through MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 03:02, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
Backlog drive
[edit]Hello Christopholes,
WikiProject Orphanage is holding a month long Backlog Elimination Drive to de-orphan articles which have orphan tags!
The goal is to eliminate the backlog of orphan articles. There are currently 53493 articles which have orphan tags. The drive is running from April 12, 2014 to May 12, 2014.
Awards will be given out for all editors participating in the drive in the form of barnstars at the end of the drive. To add your name in the participants list click here.
So start de-orphaning articles! Click here to see the list of articles need de-orphaning.

deOrphaning script
[edit]Hello everyone! I was just working on responding to a couple bug reports for a script that I worked up as part of a request from this project, and I noticed that only a couple people (who weren't even on this mailing list) are actually using the script. A little history on the script: In March of 2014, Jim Cartar came to my user talk page and said he needed some help in acquiring a script for a backlog drive that he was working on that could keep track of and score deOrphanings for a scored backlog drive. I took that request to the project's talk page (BackLog Drive "DO" (De-Orphaning) script proposal) and there was near unanimous support for this. I thought about the proposal and decided the best way to do it was to build a new script (which is still no where near as comprehensive as Manishearth's OrphanTabs) and build into it a mechanism that will make BLD scoring easy.
What I'm wondering at this point is, since there appears to be only two people using the script, should I continue to develop this script with a goal of using it for scoring BLDs or just debug the existing script and leave it at that. Thanks for any replies or comments.
