Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Tiptoety talk 05:52, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Club Honors
They are, by very definition, minor titles. They don't have what the major competitions have. For example, the Supercopa Masters only ran for two editions (you can hardly call it major). The Copa de Oro ran for three. Not much different. The Copa Rio de La Plata and the Amateur Era championships are in the minor list simply for being tournaments from the amateur era. The Intercontinental Cup and Interamerican Cup were a really bad joke on the sport. The Intercontinental Cup started promising but by 1980 it became a glorified friendly, a Mickey Mouse Cup. So bad that some teams started abstaining from even participating and some editions were never played at all (especially the 1970s). And if that wasn't bad enough, some company from Japan (Toyota) had to come in 1980 to make some money from save the competition. Seriously, the Copa Libertadores champion HAS NEVER been obligated to participate in such event; the winner could have not wanted to participate at all so this "the Libertadores champion qualifies for the IC" is not true. It is the other way around: the IC gets to have the winner of the Copa Libertadores participate.
And as for the Interamerican Cup?...lol that just has Mickey Mouse written all over it. Seriously, Boca Juniors is too big of a club to worry about some BS competitions, like the above, that only serve for statistical purposes. Especially the IC. I mean, it would be one thing if it were still like the old days (home and away) but it turned into a joke starting in 1971. The Copa Liberatadores titles, Supercopa, etc. hold far more weight then a little competition that is one match long.
Since I have your attention, I would like to invite you to help me promote South American football. If you go to the Copa Libertadores page, you will notice that I have done some major revamping on this and other South American tournaments. Even UEFA doesn't have it this good. However, I need help. Are you interested? Jamen Somasu (talk) 09:38, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- If you check out any Feauture article in football, you will notice they all have the full, official names on the article's page. We could discuss why it should or should not be that way. The redirect links serve the purpose of redirecting popular phrases of the subject at hand back to the subject itself.
- BTW, how much do you know about the Intercontinental Cup between Manchester and Estudiantes? Jamen Somasu (talk) 18:46, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Hi, I like the changes you made to the National team part on the page and the preceding years of Argentine football. I edited the National team section from a table to a collapsible stacked format for some of the years and I'm in the process of doing the same for all similar pages. If you can fill in info I miss, please do. Thanks 07-10-2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.156.62.227 (talk) 17:57, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Well done mate, we completed the national team section for all years as far back as the 2002-03 season! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.156.171.4 (talk) 22:55, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Naming of Argentine lower leagues' clubs
Hi, or hola, whichever you prefer. Now that User:King of the North East is unluckily retired you seem to be the one to carry his legacy in the heavy maintenance of Argentine football articles. For that I'm grateful, and congratulate you in your effort and dedication.
Anyway, that's not why I'm here. I happened to find that most lower leagues' teams' articles are not titled by their common name (see Club Atlético Tucumán and Club Social y Deportivo Defensa y Justicia for example). I changed some before finding out that most of them follow this unfortunate pattern. I'm sure you are aware that WP:TITLE states that articles' should be named according to their common names. That being said, is there any reason why I should not change them all? Have you at any other time reached a consensus not to do so? I wouldn't want to launch a cruzade and then be reverted. Thanks for your time y saludos desde Argentina. Fache (talk) 08:21, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

RE: Notable players
Hi. I made a sweep through (mostly) all Argentine football clubs applying the recommendations they gave me at WP:FOOTY (link). In my opinion the best course of action is to change the criteria to a more demanding one. That way you could probably get all the notable players in only one reference. For example: most games with the club.
Nonetheless, if you want to keep the 50-games criteria (though I recommend to at least set it at 100) you are right that it would be insane to reference each and every one of them. Referencing the red ones should be enough. However, in that case the {{Inc-sport}}
tag should stay, otherwise the reader might think the listed players are ALL the ones who have played more than 50 games in the club's history. Regards. Fache (talk) 23:36, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- You can always establish a more detailed criteria to avoid cutting out notable players that don't satisfy the 100 games. Check what I did at Vélez (link): 100 games, or an individual award (e. g. league top scorer), or 20 national team games, or a World Cup participation. In the future, I plan to tidy it up in sections, even if that means repeating the same player in all four of them (Chilavert satisfies the 4 criterias).
- Anyway, I leave it to your creativity and good judgement. Improving those sections in Argentine clubs is long overdue. Regards. Fache (talk) 00:30, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- I see, it ultimately depends on how you define "notable player" (players with notable contributions to the club? or players who are notable per se and have played in the club?). I always understood that players with a significant international career should be worth mentioning as a "notable former player" (for example: Nolberto Solano has only 32 games in Boca, but his 95 caps make him notable per se and worth mentioning). Anyway, the important thing is to choose a criteria (anyone) and stick to it, so that the section is not just a pov list. Regards. Fache (talk) 03:53, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
FIFA Club World Cup and intercontinental club competitions
Hi friend, FIFA says; "With respect to the history of the FIFA Club World Cup and intercontinental club competitions in years gone by, such as the Copa Rio in the 1950s, the FIFA Executive Committee endorsed the view that the first edition of this competition was held in 2000 in Brazil where Corinthians became the very first FIFA club world champions. Other tournaments are not considered official FIFA events".
If you read that carefull, FIFA referred to all intercontinental club competitions, copa rio its just an example... the last phrase explain all; "the first edition of this competition was held in 2000 in Brazil where Corinthians became the very first FIFA club world champions. Other tournaments are not considered official FIFA events". Other tournaments are not considered official FIFA events, that meanes all, only the FIFA club world cup winner its considered world club champion, FIFA even not recognized any other intercontinental club competition... The intercontinental cup it was official UEFA CONMEBOL, but all the clubs who won that competition cannot be considered as world club champion in law, just an ordinary winner of an official UEFA CONMBOL club competition, as you know, both european champions club cup and copa libertadores had much more importance that the intercontinental cup.

What a piece of garbage!
Hi there BOCA my friend!
I see that after you sent this message to a "user" which was vandalizing (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:95.16.202.56), he replied by SEVERELY insulting you in his own talk page. What an imbecile!! I am going to report him right away to an administrator. I also discovered your warnings are almost one year old, but i only found about them now, and he keeps vandalizing Nuno André Coelho's article with different IPs.
Nice work, keep it up, thanks for your help, from Portugal - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 19:48, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- And he continues in N.A. Coelho, with a different IP, he must also hate me terribly after what i said in one of the summaries while reverting him (i know i should not, but i just lose my patience with these "persons"). If you notice, without clicking "undo" to undo my version, he went bit by bit and destroyed my entire last version, thus recreating redirects and other wrong stuff. Pathetic!!
User:Satori Son, the administrator i asked help from, spends large periods of time away from WP, "caught him" in one of those days unfortunately. I also better be prepared, cause i think this idiot vandal is coming after me. Saludos - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 00:30, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Manchester United
Im sorry if im causing a problem but this user PeeJay2K3 is always always reverting my edits when I know they are correct, its so annoying he is the type of person that if he see's something he doesnt like he reverts it. On the manchester page its always him that has to make the edits like its his page when its not! all im asking is that someone needs to tell him to not revert every edit he see's. thank you.
Ezequiel Lavezzi
ok since i know a bit more about soccer than you seem to, lavezzi scored 2 international goals for the argentine national team, now although the team was made up of only under23 players, the games themself were not played as argentine under 23 v australia and serbia, those games were played under the banner of the argentine national team, and as such should be counted as goals for the team, get your facts straight son —Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.64.80.141 (talk) 01:40, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Heat captain
Hello, according to the official Miami Heat website the team's captains are Haslem and Wade. Now I'm not going to "cite" it or whatever but if you care about your precious wikipedia being accurate, you might do it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.196.178.236 (talk) 18:57, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Reverting the attack.
Hey,
Thanks for reverting the personal attack on my talkpage! But I thought I'd let you know that that attack came from IP addressed by User:Jamen Somasu (yes, him). The warning you posted on his talk page won't do much (unfortunately). So next time, just revert, block, ignore. Thanks. Digirami (talk) 14:33, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
List ideas
Hey,
Would you be interested in helping me create two list articles for Boca Juniors: one for players, one for managers? This would be the main source. Digirami (talk) 05:38, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi there BOCA, VASCO here,
i bring this to your attention because the idiot vandal also insulted you, like me for the same reason, which is...NOTHING! The protection was lifted, he returned and screwed up the box again, this time it's "safe" for three months :)
Sad, so sad...Saludos from Portugal - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 20:38, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Argentine Primera División
Hi. Most European Football leagues in Wikipedia bear the logo of their championship. I believe your interpretation of the policy on logos is perhaps misguided and wish for you to agree to at least have the logo of AFA if the football crest of clubs are inacceptable to you. Do you believe we can resolve this difference of opinion fairly to both us? I give up the football crests, you allow the main logo? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Icardero (talk • contribs) 02:13, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Peru national football team (Recent call-ups)
What does "recent call-ups" mean? If a player is named to the team and that player plays in that match should not he be included in that list?! IP user 98.231.216.196 has removed Cristian Benavente from said list twice now. Raul17 (talk) 23:54, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:27, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Custom signature fix needed
Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. Changes to Wikipedia's software have made your current custom signature invalid.
The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error or obsolete HTML tags.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, you can fix your signature, or you can do nothing.
Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (Do not click the red "Restore all default settings" button, which will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Click the button next to the error to learn how to fix the error.
- Update your signature to fix the error.
- Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.
Solution 3: Do nothing:
- In accordance with a recent request for comment, all invalid signatures will be changed to the default, which looks like "Example (talk)", one month from now.
If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:05, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
Women's uniforms
Hi, I restored the 2024 uniforms that you had previously reverted on Argentina women's U17.
This is because uniforms were launched on social media showing kits for all teams (include women's squads, according to source) so I waited until the South American competition finished to restore the edit. Please don't revert it again, thanks. Fma12 (talk) 20:42, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
