Re:Greetings from Chennai

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for the friendly greeting. In response to your question, I put the asterisk on the article category to make it stand out because it is a list of medicinal plants from Asia, and lists generally go at the start of the categories. My name refers to a very obscure Biblical figure and I myself am not entirely sure how to pronounce it. I simply choose it as a online name for various websites because it is unique and is thus generally not already in use. Asarelah (talk) 01:42, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Bilingual2000. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "N.M. Nampoothiri".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/N.M. Nampoothiri}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 20:08, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article The North American Film Awards (NAFA) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unremarkable awards ceremony that has almost no coverage. A search turns up another award "company" called The North American Film Awards. Fails GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. "foetal" is correct in Ireland

[edit]

I noticed you did some minor changes to Every Life Counts in this edit. You changed "foetal" to "fetal", but not everybody speaks American English. This page is about Ireland, where the correct spelling is "foetal". You have also changed the work "foetal" to "fetal" in a URL! You also changed "perinatal" to "prenatal", but the sources do refer to "perinatal" not "prenatal".

Please don't do a mechanical edit to change things to American English. As per WP:STRONGNAT, Hiberno-English should be used. ____Ebelular (talk) 12:37, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Bilingual2000. You tagged "Sameer khandagale" for speedy deletion, but you did not notify the article's creator that it had been so tagged. There is strong consensus that the creators of articles tagged for speedy deletion should be warned and that the person placing the tag has that responsibility. All of the major speedy deletion templates contain a pre-formatted warning for this purpose—just copy and paste to the creator's talk page. Thank you. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! clpo13(talk) 19:38, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Roy C.J. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails GNG notability standard of substantial in-depth coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Wondering where you have disclosed your paid editing work? Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 02:56, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings Dr. James! I am trying my level best to post content that are backed by maximum possible references that are available. I do not have any financial COI with the subjects I edit and I swear my own likes and dislikes will not influence editing pages on Wikipedia. I feel totally dismayed when users accuse me of biasing or when they underestimate the purity of intention by a mere accusation of paid contribution. Thanking you and sorry for the delay to respond as it was early morning when I got the alert mail. Bilingual2000 (talk) 06:19, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
"I do not have any financial COI with the subjects I edit" is odd phrasing. If you are paid to edit Wikipedia you must, by our Terms of Use, disclose certain things per WP:PAID - you are aware of this right? Alexbrn (talk) 08:22, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Greetings Alexbrn! With respect to your rebuke, I wish to bring the following facts to your notice. So far, I've been unnecessarily dragged to several trials including sockpuppet ing and creating pages for non-notable subjects (from day one, I don't remember a single instance of editing Wikipedia with out logging in). I have created my first article on "list of books about food and drinks" way back in 2014, not a perfect creation for I was a beginner who failed to foresee such a vast list is almost impractical. I have created a page for "Juan Manuel Guayasamin" the day I read about him in National Geographic website, about his latest finding (a glass frog called Yaku) and my conscience says a person who has described several taxons is 'notable' in his field, neither I know him nor I underestimate his notability as per the guidelines. If my perceptions were wrong, others could have done the necessary. I never created pages for tax evading or notorious Billionaires, but Roy C.J. is a businessman I adore for his contributions to several sectors in the part of the world where I am living. If his ranking 14 on a list of 100 by Forbes seems 'weak' to a User, I did not negate and even express my opinion when his page was deleted. I created a page of Nina Teicholz not for the sake of the person, but for her findings. Later I found the same page badly updated by novices, but did not interfere for Wikipedia belongs to all. All are supposed to correct/modify/nominate for deletion whichever is appropriate. I find Wikipedia such an enormous collection of valuble data and I am aware of the fact that making use of that data collection does not require me to contribute. This could be the first time in the last 5 years I have prepared an elongated paragraph in any Talk Page. I am not dismayed now, but feeling highly disgusted of the cynical approaches by few users. Thanking you. Bilingual2000 (talk) 09:59, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't "rebuke" you, I asked if you were aware of WP:PAID and that you have to declare certain things as stipulated by the Terms of Use if you are paid to edit. I don't see what your reply has to do with my comment. Your claim to use "maximum possible references" seems to be at odds with creations like this which appears to contain a lot of unsourced detail. Blocking of my account

[edit]
Greetings Doc James! I don't know what is meant by 'Blocking" for the past five years, but I could log in now. If it is a mistake from your side please do the necessary, for I am not going to be here causing concern for you all the time. Also, I've noticed that you are on a spree of placing COI tags on the pages I created so far. My humble request to you is to delete all those pages if you can instead of making a mockery of it. I can't help but laugh when I see a COI Tag on the page of an educational institution!. If not a formal student or someone from that area, who else will create a page on Wikipedia :). I am not that pompous to say "User Bilingual2000 is a Different editor" (the childish phrase I copied from your user page - User:Docjames is a different editor). In my view ALL ARE SAME. I am a 52 years old voracious reader with better exposure with the diverse world and never seggregate notability guidelines based on demographics. I will always be on Wikipedia as a viewer, for it helps me a lot to find a definition on just any term on earth. You may also Block my alternate account "Irumozhi" that I've created in the beginning, for I was unaware of the global account then. Best! Bilingual2000 (talk) 07:36, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bilingual2000. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, North American Film Awards, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

A tag has been placed on Category:Shyam Shah Medical College alumni requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
