Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Battle City video game.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Battle City video game.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:28, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I saw this request at the Map Workshop. Do you have any specific colours in mind that should be used on the map for 1) the participants, and 2) the host nations? It shouldn't take me too long to do this :) (I'll probably notice a reply quicker if you email me - as long as you don't mind me knowing your email address.) Matthewedwards : Chat 22:37, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I've completed your request. The file is located at File:1984 Friendship Games participants.png. Please let me know if there are any errors or changes that need making, or if you would like a .svg version. The file is currently hosted locally, but I don't care if it gets sent over to Commons if the article has versions in other languages. Regards, Matthewedwards : Chat 21:23, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

A present for you!

The Friendship Games was one of many things I was hoping to expand at some point. You beat me to it and did a great job on the whole article series! Excellent, well-researched work on a subject which is not very well known or understood internationally. I also salute you for your commitment to article neutrality as well as for working in a language which is not your own (we have something in common!). Many 1980s Cold War-related topics are blighted by poor referencing and bias. Your work is an example for all. SFB 18:35, 24 September 2010 (UTC) |
- Thank you very much!!! I am SO flattered by this :] ! - ArCgon (talk) 14:10, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of 1973 European Amateur Boxing Championships, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.cyborgmanifesto.org/amateur.html.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. - False alarm. And the article is a bare list of sport results anyway. - ArCgon (talk) 11:17, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
DYK for Henryk Chmielewski (comics)
[edit]On 23 November 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Henryk Chmielewski (comics), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Henryk Chmielewski was the first comic book author to be awarded with the Medal for Merit to Culture, Gold Class, the highest Polish order given for artistic deeds? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Henryk Chmielewski (comics).
