Production.club is a US-based design and logistics company known for its design and production of music-based parties, shows, and experiences globally.[2][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]

History

[edit]

Production.club was founded in 2011 by two University of Southern California alumni;[4] Corey Johnson ’09 and Vivek Srinivasan ’08, who worked with the production designer, Miguel Risueño, to develop the company.[13][1][14][15][16]

The Skrillex Cell, and Minecraft parties presented by Notch were among the first major endeavors for the Production.club founding members.[17][18][19][20][21][22]

Production

[edit]

The company has designed lighting, created visuals and produced music-based events for artists Skrillex and Zedd.[17][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][4][13] Designing and producing a spaceship for Skrillex earnedmedia attention[31][32][5] once it was used for the Skrillex's 'Mothership Tour'.[33] The spaceship debuted at Coachella 2014 and, due to its huge size,[33] required eight 53-foot long trailers to deliver it. The spaceship featured lights, video, pyrotechnics, and other special effects.[34][33][35][17][18][36]

Production.club is involved with notable bands such as The Chainsmokers for their lighting designs, visuals, stage design, and directing.[37][28][12] Other artists the company worked with include Martin Garrix,[38] Nero, Kill the Noise,[9] ZHU,[1] DJ Snake and Diplo.[26][25][24][6][39]

Production.club incorporates unique ‘mega structures’ in many of the projects they create which offer proprietary surfaces used to display visuals, attach mechanisms for special effects, or solve logistical issues. In June 2015, Production.club erected a dome in the center of the Los Angeles Colosseum for Notch’s .party() Los Angeles.[26][40][41] In December 2016, Production.club created a 40-foot-wide by 200-foot-long bridge in Las Vegas for Amazon Web Services, from the loading dock of Sands Expo Hall, over a private road and under the Las Vegas monorail allowing attendees of AWS re:Invent conference to travel to a 475,000 square foot entertainment oriented campus site also created by Production.club. The bridge megastructure in Las Vegas allowed for cohesion and access to entertainment programming at an enormous scale.[42][43]
