Welcome/Bienvenidos/Bonvolu

[edit]

My name is Aspen, and I live in the United States. I have lived in four states including Maryland, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Maine. The majority of my formative years were in Tampa, Florida, and my immediate family is Florida Cuban, so I consider myself a Floridian.

Education

[edit]

I love learning about languages, highways, and geopolitics, and I have extensively studied the three in my undergraduate career, along with astrophysics. While I started my collegiate career at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, I received my Bachelor of University Studies from the University of Maine in Orono, Maine, with concentrations in Engineering & Technology; Mathematics, Statistics, & Computing; and Humanities.

Interests & Hobbies

[edit]

Since 2012, I have developed computer software, and I have been publishing websites even longer than that. The first coding languages I learned were HTML, CSS, and Javascript, soon followed by Java and C++. With these tools under my belt, I published websites about virtually any interest I had, as well as simple Android and Windows apps.

In recent years, I learned Python, LaTeX, C#, and Swift. With these new languages, some of my projects include a LaTeX IDE and pre-compiler that allows the user to embed Python that runs as compile time and includes its output in the final document. There are multi-OS versions made with Python, as well as one specific to macOS written in Swift.
