Dave Mckeon.

An American musician/songwriter in the Country/Bluegrass genre. A singer/Songwriter born January, 18, 1974 in Auburn, NY. Dave grew up in Poplar Ridge, NY and graduated from Southern Cayuga High School in 1992 in a class of 68. After Living in Hanarfjordur, Iceland for a year Dave returned to Upstate New York and Attended Wells College, then a Women's College. McKeon then transferred to Syracuse University and Graduated with a degree in English Textual Studies in 1996.

Dave's musical Career began at the age of four when his father gave him a Mandolin. His father Jim, a banjo player, would play nightly with the children (Jim Jr., Maureen, Dave). The youngest of the three children Mckeon is the only one who stuck with music. After the Mandolin came Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Autoharp, Dobro, Singing, and Piano. Throughout High School Mckeon absorbed influences from Jazz, Metal, Reggae, and R&B. Mckeon performed solo acoustic shows from the age of 18 on as well as playing bass in an 11 piece sul band The Destination and being a side man for Matt McCabe, an Adirondack Songwriter.

After his stint at Syracuse Dave moved to Boston, MA. There he performed his own shows and Side manned for Patty Keough, A MA based Singer/Songwriter. After playing Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Mandolin, and singing Back-Up Vocals on Pattys CD McKeon relocated to Fedonia,NY. Stying in NY just one year this time he ended up in Northern NJ. McKeon met and played with many great musicians he still performs with today while in NJ.

Today he has contributed to several albums and has several songs ready for release in February, 2009. Tim O'Donohue's "A Litle Bit of Alright" and Woodrow Landfair's "48" are current releases Dave's playing can be heard on. Moving into the production seat along side Steve Boyer (engineer on Eric Clapton's "Unplugged", Peter Gabriel's "So", and Rolling Stones' "Tattoo You") Dave has recently worked with a young sensation Tatiana Lima.
