History

[edit]

Topps Tiles was founded by Alan Brindle and Edward Derbyshire who opened the company's first store in Sale, Cheshire, in 1963.[2]

It then continued to open stores across the North West and the Midlands.[3]

In 1990, Topps Tiles merged with Tile Kingdom, a business operating in London and the Southeast, which had been established by Stuart Williams and Barry Bester in 1984.[4]

Topps Tiles were the shirt sponsors of Leicester City Football Club between 2007 and 2009.[5]

On 29 November 2019, CEO Matt Williams stood down as CEO and was replaced by Rob Parker, the previous finance director.[6]
