Since this template covers the period from the Qing dynasty through the Republic of China and into modern times, it makes little sense that its title refers only to the PRC (that is, the government post-1949). I would suggest moving to the more generic US Ambassadors to China. Thoughts? Homunculus (duihua) 15:56, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
