This article needs quite a bit of work.
When it was created it was started as though the Underground Garage was just a satellite radio channel.
In fact it is (somewhat confusingly) a name that is used for TWO separate entities and outlets - both created by the same person. The syndicated radio show heard on terrestrial FM radio preceded the satellite radio channel by a couple of years.
Both outlets seem to be comparatively successful. If it was felt essential to list the satellite channel separately from the terrestial weekly radio show (even though they share the same title, creator and mission) then there could be two separate articles. Since the musical format of the satellite channel is an expansion of the format of the weekly show - I think it is more logical to have everything on one page.
I will do my best with this article. I would appreciate help! Davidpatrick 22:18, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
The money angle
[edit]I have been listening to Little Stephen's Underground Garage off and on for two or three years now. But I never seem to notice any commercials in it. At least in the area local to Portland Oregon. This must mean that affiliated radio stations (such as 92.3FM KGON) pay dearly for the right to access it, and broadcast it, and then recoup the associated expenses by running commercials before and after it, rather than during it?
Are there any affiliates that intersplice radio commercials in it, so it comes through, utterly loaded to the hilt with commercials?
The main page of this article could be improved by mentioning its "market value" (whatever that might be). Dexter Nextnumber (talk) 05:36, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
