Not an independent

[edit]

As I understand it she stood for her husband's party, which also has an MP.--MacRusgail (talk) 14:56, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Had one - he lost in the general election this month. This is more complicated than it seems because most "registered parties" are really little more than mechanisms to provide candidates with a label, even if they accumulate coattail followers at other levels. In most parliaments, assemblies and council chambers there is no real difference between someone sitting as an independent or as the sole representative of a party. Adding to the complications I'm not sure if Trish Law actually used the "Blaenau Gwent People's Voice" label on the ballot paper. Timrollpickering (talk) 15:30, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
