This review is transcluded from Talk:Strip Me/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
You need to get a third party to check the copy. In the second sentence alone, there are glaring mistakes: "Originally due for released on 9 November 2010 but was pushed back to 7 December 2010. It is the second album that Bedingfield has released exclusively in the Canada and the United States, following in the footsteps of Pocketful of Sunshine." There are also punctuation errors throughout.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
Article is properly referenced and no WP:OR.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
Article covers major aspects and is focused.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
    Article complies to WP:NPOV.
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
    Article is stable.
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall: The prose requires some looking into for grammatical and punctuation errors. I suggest a third-eye have a look at this. Please drop me a quick note on my talk page when this has been completed. – SMasters (talk) 09:42, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Now that the writing has been fixed, I am confident that the article meets all the requirements for a GA and am happy to pass it. – SMasters (talk) 13:25, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Strip Me Away

[edit]

As Natasha's album is once again being released with different titles in different territories, I have just followed the format set down by Pocketful of Sunshine. Feel free to change this in due course once we know more about the album's european release. Can't find many references about it yet but all of this information is on the German iTunes at the moment. "Mostly incorrect" reversion

[edit]

Lil-unique1 (talk · contribs), a frequent editor of this article, declared this edit as "mostly incorrect" and reverted it. I'm about to revert that reversion, and await here a more detailed justification.

Here's my summary of the changes being reverted:

  1. Reword intro to eliminate "It is the second album that Bedingfield released with alternate names and track listings for domestic and international markes [sic]"
No issue with this.
  1. Change "Commercially, the album only managed to debut at number 103 with 10,000 copies sold compared to her previous album, Pocketful of Sunshine, which debuted at number three, selling five times as many copies." to "The album debuted at number 103 with 10,000 copies sold, a significant drop compared to her previous album, which debuted at number three, and sold five times as many copies."
accept change here.
  1. Change "In international markets, the album will be released under the title Strip Me Away, with more colorful artwork and included an expanded tracklisting. It is set for release from May 2011" to "In Europe,Strip Me will be released in May 2011 under the title Strip Me Away, with more colorful artwork and an expanded list of tracks."
  2. Trim this quote: "She described the album as "be[ing] the next level from what I've already done. I think I've taken it to another place. It's just more vibrant and exciting. And I can't wait for people to hear it" to "She described the album as "be[ing] the next level from what I've already done....It's just more vibrant and exciting. And I can't wait for people to hear it."
no issue, this will be reverted.
  1. From "where [sic] all constructed from more than fifty songs" to "were complied from more than 50 songs{{cn}}"
Accept change.
  1. Change this:
"Additionally, the singer announced a partnership with NIVEA skincare for an upcoming beauty campaign which will see the album's lead single, "Touch", being featured in TV commercials.
    to
"Additionally, the singer announced "Touch" will be used in TV commercials for NIVEA skin care, which will see the album's lead single, "Touch", being featured in TV commercials.
Accept change.
  1. Change "On April 14, 2011, Bedingfield announced "Less Is More" Summer Tour presented by Freschetta®. The tour will start on June 5 to July 26 on 29 cities across U.S. in support for the album" to "To promote the album, Bedingfield announced her "Less Is More" Summer Tour, which will start on June 5 and include 29 U.S. cities."

This list doesn't include additional misspelling being fixed and minor other changes. The summary above is consistent with the edit summary ("copy-edit to reduce the marketing hype and make the tone more encyclopedic, fix some misspellings, scattered minor changes"). 67.101.7.152 (talk) 01:37, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
