No reason to use eszett

[edit]

This is the English Wikipedia, and it is not an English letter. Germans use ss as equivalent to ß all the time. The article should be re-named Stassfurt, and correction should be made throughout the article.

The claims made in the „environmental issues“ section are not objective.

[edit]

At the moment the issue is still material for debate among various political groups and non governmental organizations within the region.

I therefore (at the moment) consider it to be a highly subjective and political topic that is not in line with Wikipedia's neutral and fact-based style of presenting information.

It is not clear wether CIECH Soda Germany is solely or at all responsible for the fish mortality rates as there are other companies along the river whose discharged water could be the cause of the problem.

I request the deletion of this section and to only make it available once the problem is confirmed by a public office or an official court since this article may have a negative effect on CIECH Soda Germany's public image and could be damaging their reputation in the mean time while the case is being resolved.

The following neutrally formulated text may be better suited for this article:

The discharge of wastewater by local companies into the Bode has been frequently criticized as severely damaging the ecosystem of the river by Environmentalist Organisations. The decrease in water quality of the Bode may be the cause of high fish mortality. The city council's measures to reduce wastewater emissions have been criticized as insufficient by BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany), the IG Bode-Lachs e.V. and the Green Party.

The section is referenced. You cannot just remove all the cited content and replace it with an uncited section that aligns with your opinion. Find references to support a balanced neutral position, then make the edit. Thanks - MarcGarver (talk) 11:29, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry I don't have much experience in editing articles yet. May I propose the following text including sources:
The discharge of wastewater by local companies into the Bode has been frequently criticized as severely damaging the ecosystem of the river by Environmentalist Organisations. The decrease in water quality of the Bode may be the cause of high fish mortality. To prevent damage to the river’s wildlife the state of Saxony-Anhalt has announced to increase the supervision of the Bode The city council's measures to reduce chemical emissions in wastewaters have been criticized as insufficient by BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany), the IG Bode-Lachs e.V. and the Green Party.
